    Glad to be back

first visit back to new location. Food was just as I remembered. Pork butt a little fatty. Most of all missed the cabbage and cucumber salad that always preceded the appetizers and entrees. A must to bring back. Portions seemed a bit smaller and atmosphere needs some work. Still my favorite Chinese in the city.

Good to see Nancy is back!

The restaurant on Third is jumping. They are doing an awesome job at keeping diners happy with good service and good food. I ordered the Grand Marnier and the green salad. The green salad had a bunch other items, such as carrots and tomatoes, etc., The portions were really generous and the food was delicious. A previous viewer wrote that the restaurant is minus white table cloths . That's not the case. White cloths adorn the tables.

    Welcome Back!

Nancy! We missed you! My Chinese food fix has been majorly lacking. Food is exactly the same. Space is a little different but they'll do just fine. Yummy ribs and dumplings. Finally!!

    Return of Pig Heaven

This has been long awaited. We tried other Chinese restaurants but heard taunts from my children "this is gross" and "it's not Pig Heaven!" And my kids we're right. When it reopened we were there the other reviewer is right - it is much smaller, the pigs had yet to be put on the wall, but some of the old waitstaff had returned and the food was as excellent as usual. My kids said "i love this place" and the "fried meat dumplings are brilliant!" I can concur they are and also add that the General Tso's is really good as well. We plan to go back again soon to see how the "kinks" have resolved but we can finall go back to ordering from our favorite Chinese restaurant again!

    Pig Heaven 2.0

Long awaited, Pig Heaven has returned. But surprisingly, not without a bunch of kinks that still need to be worked out. The restaurant is half the size as its previous location and the neighborhood feel is lost. The pickles and cabbage and tablecloths are gone. Portion sizes are smaller. Waiters are spread thin and aren't attentive. But the food, when served, is just as good as before. Next time, I'll take out.

    The SImple LIfe

Was there on 12/28 for dinner and all of the food was great. The scallion pancakes were excellent and we tried their YING YANG and it was truly fantastic. They don't offer noodles with the soups and they didn't bring us tea, unless you ask. Their ribs are juicy and meaty. Nancy Lee is an excellent hostess.

    Best ribs

A NY Times review a few years ago turned me onto their ribs--simply the meatiest and best in town. The pork shu mai is also great, and I love the moo shu vegies (to balance the ribs). No delivery problems in years.
