Not recommended
I ordered the crispy Calamari salad I can't say if it was really calamari because it was fried so hard the pineapple fried rice tasted like day old rice that was stir fried in the wok. NaNa is a NO NO for me. It's the poorest Thai I've had in my whole life. Then to make matters worst I ordered a Mojito and it tasted like soap water. Just the thought of it is making my stomach turn.

Food is wonderful! Service and atmosphere are mediocre.
Time and time again, I am impressed by the food at Nana, but the service, and atmosphere are not so great. The bathroom is downstairs in a huge basement. The decor down there is strange and there is not one cohesive theme. There are statues, a scale, a fountain with goldfish in it, and a big mirror. It's extremely dark down there, one of the locks on one of the two bathroom doors does not work, the sinks are outside the bathrooms, and to tell you the truth, the basement bathrooms give me the creeps. Other than that, you should go for the food. The service and the atmosphere leave much to be desired. Upstairs, there is a fish tank in the window with bottles of vodka in it with tiny fish swimming all around them.

Great food, lovely atmosphere
I frequent this restaurant and order take out regularly. I also had my daughter's 18th birthday here. The staff was pleasant, my guests (over 20 people were accomodated easily) enjoyed the food and they were nice enough to even give my daughter a gift. I will continue to be a loyal patron!

so-so food, surprisingly loud
Food is passable, but nothing special. Remember that "best sushi in Park Slope" is like saying "best burger in Mumbai" -- what's the competition, and around at who's eating there?! While that's no surprise, what is surprising is how loud their dinner DJ plays his Hotel Costes CD. So loud that we couldn't hear each other over the table and gave up on talking. When we complained, they turned it down... until our food came. Having locked us in, they cranked it right back up again. Frankly, Hotel Costes sounds better in my apt.

Everything was delicious!
Okay I've lived in parkslope all of my life, tried every sushi spot that opens and then sometimes closes..because of lack of business and high rent... and this by far was the best tasting, freshest and one more time.... best tasting! sushi I've ever had. We had 2 bottles of Sake (Kitaya) was the 1st..we were a little upset to find out they ran out of Kitaya but our waiter brought another bottle that was almost as good as the 1st. we tried almost every appetizer. The Shrimp Tempura with the lemon dip was ridiculous! we had to order 3! We ordered alot of specialty rolls can't remember which were the best cuz they all were too great to care. Nana will be on my secret weapon list for as long as it's around. (One thing I forgot to tell management..was the downstairs fish pond had a FEW dead fish ..they need to remove them..!) still love NANA! u won't regret it... and in the warm days u can eat outside in the back garden.. sexyyy

Park Slopes Best
Went here for my first time with my family for my birthday. I picked it based on the menu and reviews and I must say that this place is great. Since we did a early lunch/dinner on a sunday we were able to pick and choose from the menu. I would say we ordered almost everything on the menu bit by bit. Mostly we stuck to specialty rolls when ordering sushi and the rest of the menu was fair game. Every specialty roll was wonderful. I'm sad we ordered so many we couldn't tell what was what at times, but we knew that it was all very tasty. The Hot & Sour Broth was different, but prbly one of the best asia soups i've ever had. I enjoyed all the spices and flavors in the dish. The favorites for main course had to be the Twister Soft Shell Crab crusted pepper corn & the Fried Red Snapper, both were very tasty and big. We tried I believe almost ever appetizer and the only one we wouldn't order again was the duck roll. Everything beside that was very good. This is clearly a hidden jem in Park Slope.
