Overpriced, not authentic, not good food
I will keep this simple - stay away from this overpriced place. Save your money and go to Chinatown - or hell, fly to Hanoi. Someone should do us a favor and open a real Vietnamese place in Tribeca

Best Vietnamese in the City
This place is so superior to Chinatown Vietnamese restaurants. The quality of the ingredients at Nam is no much better than new viet huong which i think is the best in chinatown. In the evening, the place really shines. As Nam is close to my office, I eat here frequently and am almost never disappointed. Service is very personable. The staff always greets us warnmly and remembers our drink orders.

Was Not So Good
This will be brief as our first post didn't show up. Overcooked tasteless food. Any Chinatown Vietnamese place is better, honestly we were totally disappointed in Nam. Not sure what was up that night but the food was not good.

Not to be missed!
There's no Vietnamese restaurant like Nam. It's definitely not to be missed. I must say that the desserts are awfully delicious. I am so glad I stopped by last nght!

Great neighborhood vietnamese
Ate here last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Not too crowded or loud and friendly staff. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.

An Absolute Gem in Tribeca
However, like all good gems, this one is expensive. My whole family (3) went. The bill came to about $120. However, expensive, it is nice to find a good Asian restaurant among so many bad ones in Lower Manhattan. The food was good, a little too many vegetables for my taste but, that's me. The decor was really nice. They had lemongrass on the table, the walls had bamboo on them and pictures of old Asian families dotted the walls. The only bad bit was that they charged $11 for a cocktail and $7 for a small glass of white wine. Overall, a really nice place to eat if you can afford it.

Nam Is A Gem!
I was taken there for my B-Day & went early. That's the time to go as the bar gets crazy later on & it's a small space. If you eat early the service is excellent! The food is always terrific. Try the Rice Mushroom Ravioli & the Spare Ribs. Outstanding!! All the entree's are delicious. It's a great value for the quality of sevice & food. Highly recommend it & go as often as I can get to Tribeca.
