I didn't like the service
The food was alright, and the seating was alright, too. It kind of gave me a cozy kind of feeling. However, I realized in my bowl the beef was kind of stale and it had a bit of redness, but I guess I don't mind. What really held me back from liking this place was the service. I can't even describe how bad it was. The employees kept looking at me and watching me talk to my friends and eat. It was very uncomfortable and I really didn't like it. The food they served us took a long time to get to us, but they served us some tea so it would be okay. When we paid for the bill, the lady at the counter saw that we didn't tip when we were about to, so she demanded us to tip $3-$4 on a $20 meal. That's about over 15% of the meal we ate!

Best Vietnamese Cuisine ever
A lot of people are saying that the food is mediocre. How is it even mediocre? They obviously don't know what Vietnamese food is supposed to taste like. How about they go to Vietnam and taste the food. It is just like the food at Nam Son.The food is quite delectable if I say so myself, and, I do. The employees are very friendly and they always refill your glass even when it is not that empty. Beautiful setting, lighting is absolutely astonishing. It makes you feel like you are in a fancy restaurant, which it is.

Got stiffed on the food
Ordered for pick up Vietnamese curry chicken. The portion lacked potato or carrots. It was just that - chicken leg in a curry both. Also the container was half empty. Poor service and quality

Best Beef Pho In Manhattan!
The only dish that is outstanding here is the beef pho. The rest are rather mediocre, unfortunately. So come here when you crave for a piping bowl of comfort food :)

Best Pho In NYC!!
We've been sampling many versions of the beef pho in NYC and are glad to find a rare gem in Nam Son. I give it 4.5 out of 5 for beef pho only. Unfortunately, the rating would have to go down if i were to rate the other dishes - closer to a 3, overall. Service is usually slow and inattentive. But for the tasty beef pho, we're prepared to endure that :)

Quite tasty....
I normally passed this place by every time I would visit the record store in Chinatown but this time I made an effort that was well worth my money. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Bun' w/ spring rolls & I must say it was a delight. The chicken was grilled to perfection with little burned edges for that extra taste. The rice vermicelli was topped w/ lettuce, cashews & what might have been mint leaves. I was the only Hispanic dinning in the restaurant, the staff was friendly & helpful with suggestions. The prices were average & the place looked clean. Each meal is served w/ tea & prompt service. I must say I do recommend this place to anyone who would like to step away from Chinese food or sushi. I look forward to trying other things from their menu & dinning here again....
