Got stiffed on the food
Ordered for pick up Vietnamese curry chicken. The portion lacked potato or carrots. It was just that - chicken leg in a curry both. Also the container was half empty. Poor service and quality

Best Beef Pho In Manhattan!
The only dish that is outstanding here is the beef pho. The rest are rather mediocre, unfortunately. So come here when you crave for a piping bowl of comfort food :)

Best Pho In NYC!!
We've been sampling many versions of the beef pho in NYC and are glad to find a rare gem in Nam Son. I give it 4.5 out of 5 for beef pho only. Unfortunately, the rating would have to go down if i were to rate the other dishes - closer to a 3, overall. Service is usually slow and inattentive. But for the tasty beef pho, we're prepared to endure that :)

Quite tasty....
I normally passed this place by every time I would visit the record store in Chinatown but this time I made an effort that was well worth my money. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Bun' w/ spring rolls & I must say it was a delight. The chicken was grilled to perfection with little burned edges for that extra taste. The rice vermicelli was topped w/ lettuce, cashews & what might have been mint leaves. I was the only Hispanic dinning in the restaurant, the staff was friendly & helpful with suggestions. The prices were average & the place looked clean. Each meal is served w/ tea & prompt service. I must say I do recommend this place to anyone who would like to step away from Chinese food or sushi. I look forward to trying other things from their menu & dinning here again....

over run by tourists
this palce used to be really delicious for the pho. full of hearty beef broth and flavor/msg. but now its going downhill. prices are going up as well. the brother of the company is thai son. they might even be linked to some viet restaurants in brooklyn. the food is mediocre and the wait staff is not always friendly. sometimes they dont bother to help you if you are asian. non-asians of course get better treatment.

Too much oil
I ordered Goi Cuon which were tasty but the Banh Xeo filling was done with too much oil. The sprouts were almost swimming in it. The amount of shrimps and pork was good but the oily sprouts killed it all. I would have preferred two smaller crepes with less filling than this normal sized crepe with oversized "interior". The crepe itself on the other hand was a too dry but that did not compensate the taste of the oil ... Service staff was nice and Vietnamese fluent

could have been better
it was my first time in this restaurant. i was not impressed at all by their food. I can say that decor was very relaxing. the staff was somewhat friendly, but very available. i waited a long time for the food. when it arrived. it was tasteless. i had the pork and rice. the rice was hard and the pork was burnt. i also has the pho. the soup was very bland and the noodles were too soft. do not recomment this for food lovers.
