    Not satisfied

The food was great and all, but the service was poor. The server just stood there and watched us from a distance and it wasn't very pleasant. Before we were even finished eating, he handed us our checks .. very rude. The totaled amount of our bill was the correct amount and had $2 tax, which was fine. When I came up to the counter, the lady was immediately handed our tip that we left on the table, along with a face of "ehh." The lady then proceeded to explain to me I needed to pay 15% as tip. I had already left $3, $1 per person and she demanded for me to pay more because it was "too little." I definitely won't be back.

    Value all around

I'm a Villager and walk a lot over the boroughs. Over the years. I have never been disappointed with Nam Son either with eat in or take out. Love the sweet&sour sautéed squid. All ingredients from the sauce to the red and green pepper, the tender squid and the abundant fresh pineapple are superior. The service is typically pleasant and efficient.

    I didn't like the service

The food was alright, and the seating was alright, too. It kind of gave me a cozy kind of feeling. However, I realized in my bowl the beef was kind of stale and it had a bit of redness, but I guess I don't mind. What really held me back from liking this place was the service. I can't even describe how bad it was. The employees kept looking at me and watching me talk to my friends and eat. It was very uncomfortable and I really didn't like it. The food they served us took a long time to get to us, but they served us some tea so it would be okay. When we paid for the bill, the lady at the counter saw that we didn't tip when we were about to, so she demanded us to tip $3-$4 on a $20 meal. That's about over 15% of the meal we ate!

    Best Vietnamese Cuisine ever

A lot of people are saying that the food is mediocre. How is it even mediocre? They obviously don't know what Vietnamese food is supposed to taste like. How about they go to Vietnam and taste the food. It is just like the food at Nam Son.The food is quite delectable if I say so myself, and, I do. The employees are very friendly and they always refill your glass even when it is not that empty. Beautiful setting, lighting is absolutely astonishing. It makes you feel like you are in a fancy restaurant, which it is.

    Got stiffed on the food

Ordered for pick up Vietnamese curry chicken. The portion lacked potato or carrots. It was just that - chicken leg in a curry both. Also the container was half empty. Poor service and quality

    Best Beef Pho In Manhattan!

The only dish that is outstanding here is the beef pho. The rest are rather mediocre, unfortunately. So come here when you crave for a piping bowl of comfort food :)
