Overpriced and Little Value
I stopped by for a workday lunch after 2 PM, after the lunch rush. The place was empty of diners but full of staff. I waited over 25 mnijutes for a veggie "burger" on a whole wheat "roll" to go. The burger was actually a pile of mushy lentils and the roll was 2 slices of bread. Considering the average lunch entree costs $20 I was utterly disappointed and will not go back.

5/5
I don’t know where to start this is an excellent restaurant. On the many occasions that I have bin here my meals were A1. What more can I say they make a damn good cheese cake?

The Best Kosher Dairy in NYC
This past Sunday, my husband and I, and two friends (who had never been to your restaurant), came by for lunch. We were on a bus trip from Baltimore. We had a wonderful lunch (our 3rd time here), and even took dinner for my husband to eat (at the non-kosher restaurant included in our trip). Everything (food and service) were excellent, as usual. Can't wait to get back. Our thanks to Scott who emailed us the Brunch menu. Thanks again!

Noisy but good food
We sat upstairs and it was quite noisy. The food was a little slow in coming but very good when it came. I had the grilled trout and it was superb. The tuna steak was also good. I thought most of the desserts were tasty, but don't order the pecan pie. Not good. The wait staff was polite and fairly attentive. Our water glasses were never empty. Always a plus on a hot day. Overall, I would grade it a B to B+.

Not worth it
I think I am the only Jew over 20 who was born and raised in NY who had never been to My Most Favorite...until last week, that is. I had always heard good things about the eatery, but I guess either people had very low standards, or I had very high ones because I was not thrilled- with anything. The place itself was not particularly nice for a so-called "fancy restaurant". It was all right, but nothing spectacular. The service was ok, but we had to wait a long time for the food and to find a waiter to get us bread was like pulling teeth. The food, which everyone spoke so highly of, was so unbelievably expensive that I expected it to be nothing short of extraordinary. Alas, it was not. I ordered mushroom ravioli in a pesto sauce, and did not only have to add salt to give it any semblance of flavor, was still pretty hungry after it was done. I and several others at the table wondered if this was seriously the main. And then, after all that, we ordered dessert. The one thing I assumed would be more than mediocre. Remember what they say about assuming.... it's true. I have had just as good desserts at fleishig places- and they can't use milk!!! Come one, people! If you are going to name a restaurant after your desserts, you'd better make sure they're REALLY good. If you're looking for a good place, with a nice ambiance, good service and 1/2 the price. I recommend Cafe K. Save yourself the time, money, and disappointment!

Decent food with Lousy service
Went to restaurant for brunch with my family. The waiter brought out our orders at random and by the time he brought out some main dishes, others were done. They forgot a salad nicoise and it took over 45 minutes to get it. My wife was eating alone while we all waited. Very loud and noisy and food was ok at best. Do not recommend. Also, expensive without reason.

The best dessert
The place really lives up to it's name. One of the best places for dessert in the city. I love going there with my husband.
