The Best Chocolate Chip Pancakes in Town

Breakfast has always been my favorite meal and so am extremely selective when it comes to ordering buttermilk pancakes. The chocolate chip pancakes here are as good as it gets. The portions are quite generous and the quality top notch!

    Subpar brunch

Went to brunch with a friend and was not at all satisfied. My omlette was way too buttery and very expensive. Its pretty hard to mess up an omlette but this place managed to do that. Do not recommend.

    $$$$$ but mediocre

My girlfriend and I were taken in by a sign outside that said green pea soup. Green pea soup is an ideal dish on a cold December day, so we went inside. I said we wanted to split a bowl of soup and some bread. We were brusquely told that there is a $12 minimum per person. She then ordered soup and I had one of their sandwiches, which was decent. The soup was thin and flavorless. The service was slow ( it wasn't busy that day) and the waiter was haughty. Check came to almost $50 for a small quantity of unexceptional food. Avoid!

I stopped in by chance with a friend for lunch and was thrilled with my meal and dining experience. The food is excellent and the portions are huge (in sharp contrast to other posts on this site). I had the Grilled Tuna Steak sandwich and it was out of this world, and it came with great french fries. My friend had the Penne Pomodoro which was also delicious. We didnt have room for dessert but the cupcakes looked so good that we each took one home. And they too did not disappoint - they were the perfect size with just the right amount of frosting AND with cream in the middle! I will definitely be back!

    Just for the dessert

Wife and I visited the restaurant on Wed Oct 21st 2009. Although we had a late dinner elsewhere and just dropped in for desert, they were very accommodating and treated us with as much attention as if we were there for dinner. All the desserts are good but the chocolate ribbon cake is always my favorite.

    Not the best I've had...

I just went tonight - Oct 31st 2009.... We got not-such-a-good seat. The waiter was nice, but very slow since he was waiting a million other tables. Food was slow to come and when it did, it wasn't exciting. A bit boring and majorly overpriced.

    Not recommended

It happened that three of my friends birthdays fell out on the same weekend, so to celebrate, our whole crew of friends (about 15 of us) decided to go out to the city for dinner. We ended up coming to this place. Worst decision ever! It was hell. We were seated very quickly and i was quite pleased about that (but it might have been because it was empty). I took a look at the menu and then laughed. I looked up and saw that everyone else had the same look on their faces. I gave a double take at the menu and I just assumed that it was probably really good food or really good portions. Boy was I in for a big surprise! The food wasn't even good. If you examine the menu you will find that they come up with these really sleazy ways to nickel and dime their customers. They charge a fee of $6 if two people in your party want to share a dish. They also wanted to charge $12 for each person that didn't order food. Apparently nothing in this world is free so two of my friends that weren't hungry enough to empty out their wallets on a mediocre dinner left to wait in the car until we all finished eating. The bill came out to $375 between 13 people that ate (remember it was 15 of us minus the 2 that didn't want to add a $24 charge to the bill just to sit and watch us eat). We left and we were all wondering how this place is still in business! If you ask me, you are better off in Le Marais where you will eat for the same price but actually get a good meal and sit in a nice environment.
