    Discrete and Considerate service

We booked a party of 12 - and even though we were late, they held our table. The waiters were attentive and low key. They food came promptly and was delicious. Our party ranged in age from 2 to 80 and everyone found a fabulous entrée and dessert. I highly recommend this restaurant to you for a party or for a delightful dinner.

    Moltissimmo Italiani !

However characterized by its upper Westside locale, it competes heavily against the neighbourhoods environs and parcels of row-styled cafes and upscaled bistros restaurants to Lincoln Center and just beyond. After many years patronizing this establishment, its popularity is decidedly more notable on the busiest times of the evening for fine dining, that makes this place wonderful to go to. The entrees have remained consistent whenever there. Though, the service might submit to being rather occupied by the numerous tables filled with families and the like. Insofar as the quintessential Italianate meal (à Milanese) ... If one has grabbed pasta in Milan, you would say that the pasta is really genuinely much to the tastes of it. Perhaps modified. But, equally filling and the portions generous against the staggering price points for fine dining in this part of Manhattan. Again, for, most Italian restaurants serving (Pasta v. Pizza) it is unparalleled. Its all the same after awhile. Its just a matter of where you want to eat and how much, do you want to spend. For those, comp eyeing in the non-kosher realm, its argues and defies logic. Since there's no restrictive barrier on what's being tossed into the entree for the regional tastes. Et cetera. Which, is, unlike, being 200% kosher in majority of kosher establishments anyhow. But, there are fewer gastronomic delights that are in the Iyslianate palate for New Yorkers between Brooklyn and Manhattan. There are limits with the number of places people want. So that's probably why everyone flocks here. No other by comparison. Yet.

    Miserable on All Levels

Hostile service and excessive menu pricing for fairly average dishes makes this the place to avoid. Non kosher types may be traumatized by the snotty treatent they will get and general unpleasantness. It is sad that a well-located & ambitious restaurant is consistently a bad dining experience when, with some basic hospitality and gratitude for your business, it could easily have been a neighborhood treasure.

Went there for lunch with my daughter. The restaurant was empty except for 5 customers. We choose to sit at a square table for four instead of a tiny table for two, as the restaurant was virtually empty and we had the pick of many tables. The waiter immediately berated us, rolled his eyes, and said "let's see what happens when my boss comes in" He then proceeded to ignore us and not take out order for 15 minutes! We ordered two soups, a pasta and a salad. All were decent but overpriced. Will not be rushing back. Too bad. Definitely didn't live up to the hype

The most overpriced "cafe" on the planet

I could not believe how expensive this place was considering how average the food was. I literally could not wrap my head around it. $29 for a tuna melt? $27 for a salad? Are you kidding. Run. Not worth it.

The place is kosher for Passover, so I went there for lunch. The first thing that hits you there is the noise. Apparently the acoustic is poor or the customers used to shout rather than talk. These two factors are not mutually exclusive, though. The food was mediocre at best, and the prices were out of proportion to its quality. The fries were soaked in oil and almost burnt, and the rest was tasteless. This was my first and last visit to this restaurant.
