    Small portions

There’s really nothing memorable about this new addition to already restaurant-crowded 2nd Ave. Our waitress though was so nice that I wish she worked in a nicer place. Lowest point of the night was when we got our tiny plates. Lesson learned: Next time pay more attention to what others have already expressed.

    Subpar Value and average food!

Should have read reviews before going. Portions are tiny. Food is okay but nothing special. Sauces were almost irrellevant as i would expect great salsa, etc. Nothing for me to remember except the bill. You can do better elsewhere!

It's just a problem of value

My family and I, being half Mexican, could definitely recommend this good late-night UES spot. The problem we have with it though is how pricey your visit winds up when you are served such small portions. Defining it as a Mexican tapas bar wouldn't be a bad idea. Service was great and the both the hostess and the bar staff were really nice.

    great breakfast burriot

so good I had to go back the next day. I patiently waited for MXCO to open. Our first visit was for dinner with friends. We ordered the tacos which were a very small portion and could have used some sort of garnish or greens to go along with them. but they were good. Then back for brunch. I had the breakfast burrito which was really really good. Went back the next day and tried the rancheros which was really good too. I like it better for brunch than dinner but I'll try dinner again cause I'm so happy with that breakfast burrito.

    Great food-but really tapas

Food was excellent and creative--not typical heavy Mexican. Not dinner portions however. Portions are tapas size. Not a fabulous value but better than average taste. Service was unobtrusive and fast. Margarita mix was good--not too sweet.

    Great Mexican

I agree with the other reviews that if you get the tacos, it's not a satisfying meal. My friend had to get 2 orders of the tacos. I got the chicken burrito and it was awesome! I can't wait to get it again. As a side note, I ordered a margarita thinking it was at the happy hour price ($5), but I got charged the full price. You have to be at the bar to get that rate. I wish I would have known! But the drink was great as well!

    Portions Small

The food was very tasty and flavorful however the portions for what you pay are extremely small. I got the pomegranate skirt steak tacos which were very tasty. However, you get two very small soft shell tacos ... maybe like 3-4 inches in diameter. Much smaller then even a taco bell taco. If this place is going to last they need to have better value cause while it was good, due to portion size I don't see going back very soon.
