I prefer sitting at the bar when I come here. The margaritas are phenomenal. Atmosphere is fun. Staff is great. Food is good. Prices are very reasonable. Definitely my go to on the UES.

Fair prices and a fun atmosphere for UES. Went here for a late dinner (10pm) on Thursday night and was happy to have a margarita and delicious chips & salsa on my table very quickly. Reasonable portions and fresh, tasty food--great for a casual, quick dinner.

I have eaten breakfast here a couple times now and the food, drinks and service are very good. I find it difficult in this neighborhood to find mexican food that isnt overly dressed or that retains any authentic mexican flavor. I believe that some of the reviews below may just be used to Manhattan style Mexican food. Not bad, but having come from the southwest I can say that is definitely different.

MXco is a top notch place in my book. I absolutely loved everything from the atmosphere and music to the best margaritas Ive ever tasted! I didn't eat anything except for the chips and salsa. They were very delicious as well. I will have dinner here on my next trip to the city and i cant wait. Thanks MXco! I loved it and thanx to David the manager! Keep up the good work! You helped make our night so incredible:)

the food, atmosphere, and servers were perfect, however the manager was the disappointment! its 2pm on a sunday and she tells my son to be quiet. he wasnt any louder then any other patron. I found it rude and inappropriate

Before we went to MXco we read the reviews that are scattered all over. Our friends highly recommended this place so in spite of a few bad opinions we visited the place last week. I had the mahi taco so criticized by previous reviewer and it was AMAZING. If you are looking for quality and freshness look no further. Beer battered tacos are fantastic as well. They are small but packed with flavour and who said that you cannot have two orders to fill your tummy? Next, we shared roasted chicken in a dark mole sauce - meat was cooked to the perfect point of juicy/tender/crispy. Must mention margaritas, even though not a big margarita drinker I tried the passion fruit and that alone teleported me to some exotic and warm country. My friends had sangrias and red wine and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of their drinks as well. Service was very friendly and our waitress knew a lot about dishes and the ingredients (e.g. what's epazote?). We spent a truly nice evening; next time will come with bigger company - there is one big round table that I want to seat at!
