A real Irish/American restaurant bar in New York City. Mustang Sally's has been "THAT" bar for 10 years. That bar that you can relax at; that bar that has delicious food; that bar that you want to go to. With its convenient location by Madison Square Garden and near the Theater District, it is without a doubt that this NYC restaurant bar is the ideal meeting spot. Come and enjoy the warm atmostphere and appetizing food; or just stop in for a drink before/after going to MSG or seeing a show. You won't be disappointed. Cheers!

    Good Food Good Atmosphere

Eat here late one Sunday evening in August. The place was crowded but it was a good, pleasant atmosphere. The food was good, the service was slow because it was crowded but worth the wait. Chicken Pot pie was fantastic as were the wings. Did not try any brew but they had a lot of it and looked like they were pouring a lot of it. Overall a good experience.

    Rangers game=dinner at Mustang Sally's

I come in by train a few times a year to see the Rangers play and we always eat at Mustang Sally's. I travel many times within a year to see various things in the city and I eat at many different places. But If I am going to an event at MSG I ALWAYS eat at Sally's! It is bar food and your in and out without missing a minute of Hockey!

Great place before a concert or anytime!

If I'm going to the Garden to see a show, I always take my friends to Sally's for dinner and a few drinks. Only three blocks away, easy walk over. The food is good, service is great, and they try to get you in the mood by playing what ever band is at the Garden, over the sound system in the Restaurant. Prices are fair for NYC, always a friendly crowd.

    not good

I think if you stick with a basic hamberger you should be fine but any other dish on the menu is not worth the money at all which are quite expensive. I was with 6 other people and the only happy person was the one with the hamburger. Food was extremely salty and my dish in particular tasted like soap. Very poor quality. Service was less than adequate. Not once did the waiter come around to check if everything was OK. Possibly because he already knew the answer. I will not eat here ever again. Also beer is extremely pricey.

Not bad before a Garden event

Went there last week before a show at the Garden. Lively atmosphere but the food's only okay. A little expensive for pub food and the beers are ridiculously overpriced. They charged $7 for a "pint" (about 12-13 oz.) of Murphy's Stout and $6 for a Bud Light. I'd go back in a pinch but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there.

    Typical bar/pub food

Nothing Special - I've worked across the street for years, and probably come here for drinks/appetizers once a week or so. I've eaten here countless times as well. It's pretty much the same food you can find in any pub across America.

A Welcoming Oasis in New York City

On a recent trip to New York,, we visited Mustang Sallys and really enjoyed our visit there. We found a bar with a good atmosphere - lots of people there and quite a few were having food. We did not have any food so I cannot comment on the food. The drinks were served properly by experienced staff who were very friendly and courteous. A very enjoyable experience and we will certainly return again on our next visit to the Big Apple.
