Established in 1995 Mustang Harry's is located just two blocks south of Madison Square Garden. Perfect before a game or concert, we have something to suit everyone. Our dining rooms can accommodate 250 people for dinner but still retain a cozy ambiance with many booths and private tables. We have two bars, the bar downstairs is 100 feet in length and is one of the longest in the city and is perfect for lively gatherings. The bar upstairs overlooks the entire restaurant and is a great spot to chill out after a hard day at work. Feel like watching the game? We have over 20 large high definition televisions. In the mood to sit back and enjoy some conversation away from the action at the bar, then move to our large upper dining room where noise is at a minimum but atmosphere at a maximum. We also have an outdoor cafe that is perfect for dining al fresco and people watching.

Good Find
Went here after a MSG event on a Saturday with a group of 11. We were happy to find our 20 minute wait turn into a 5 minute wait. For the area we all agreed that the prices were decent and didn't expect much of the food. The food ended up being very good (not amazing but for bar food and the price it was exactly what we were looking for). I'm not a huge fan of burgers but after tasting my father's burger I thought it was absolutely delicious. I had a salad special and the salad was super fresh and the dressing was nice a light. I was very pleased with the service. They sat us upstairs because we had such a large group and noticed that they scheduled a party and in the area we were sitting. We understood to leave soon after the check came but didn't feel pressured or rushed by anyone. I was expecting to pay an arm and leg for bad food and this was not the case.

Best place for a luncheon!
We have been having luncheons at Mustang Harry's every other month from April through November for about 5 years now. We chose it because of its close proximity to Penn Station since, besides NY, some of our attendees come from NJ, CT, and PA. Most of the lunches have been in the Mezzanine upstairs and we love it there. The food is great and the service is top notch. Our lunches can number anywhere from a dozen people to in the 30's and every time the waiters and watresses have been most accommodating. And the best part is they don't try to rush us out of the restaurant. We start at noon and usually don't leave till 3 or 3:30. Some of our members like to break into song and nobody tries to sush us. All in all, we are very happy with Mustang Harrys and will continue to have our luncheons there for a long time to come.

Convenience, but that's it
The options in the area are limited, so Harry's is a decent choice when entering Manhattan via Penn Station to attend a game or concert at the Garden. Problem is, before events it tends to get very crowded and noisy. It's not worth it to eat here for anything other than convenience. The food is a little expensive but if you avoid the Chicken Pot Pie (it's leathery crust is unappetizing) you'll have an ok dining experienece.

Good value and service for the area
The best thing about this place is its location. Close to all mass transit from everywhere (by rail), and close to MSG. That said, this place doesn't take that advantage for granted. The food is good, with a very family friendly menu, and not too over-priced. Portions are very generous and justify the price, so it's a good value

Are you kidding?
So what if the service is ok and you get "value"? The food is barely edible, tho at least the beer is cold and arrives promptly. There is no reason to go here unless the next stop is a game or concert at the Garden. This neighborhood traps hungry people into eating at places like this. The only solution is to have chow outside the area and then go to the Garden. But from experience, we know that is easier said than done.

bad delivery... WARNING
First I was told it would be 15 min... 40 min later I had to call and check on my order. The onion rings would have been good, if they werent cold. I asked for ranch along w bleu cheese with my chicken wings and only received ranch... oh yeah, and the chicken wings were sweet instead of spicy and were probably the cause of my painful stomach ache. The pears in my salad came from a jar and were hardly cut up, the goat cheese tasted like it was prepackaged, and it arrived with spinach instead of frisee, like stated on the menu. basically, I will never order from this restaurant EVER again.

Looks that don't deliver
My wife and I started with a app. which should have been good, but it was tasteless, greasy, we took two bits, and sent it back, then came the main course, I had a steak sandwich which was full a fat, peppers, and a lump of cheese, I only had half, my wife had a pork dish, which was covered in so much dry spice rub, thats all you could taste. The waiter ask if everything was o.k., Of course we told her no, she said the manager removed the app from the check, who cared about that we had came to eat. And just couldn't. The bottom line is the place looks, nice, maybe just for a drink or two, but stay away from the food.
