    Convenience, but that's it

The options in the area are limited, so Harry's is a decent choice when entering Manhattan via Penn Station to attend a game or concert at the Garden. Problem is, before events it tends to get very crowded and noisy. It's not worth it to eat here for anything other than convenience. The food is a little expensive but if you avoid the Chicken Pot Pie (it's leathery crust is unappetizing) you'll have an ok dining experienece.

Good value and service for the area

The best thing about this place is its location. Close to all mass transit from everywhere (by rail), and close to MSG. That said, this place doesn't take that advantage for granted. The food is good, with a very family friendly menu, and not too over-priced. Portions are very generous and justify the price, so it's a good value

    Are you kidding?

So what if the service is ok and you get "value"? The food is barely edible, tho at least the beer is cold and arrives promptly. There is no reason to go here unless the next stop is a game or concert at the Garden. This neighborhood traps hungry people into eating at places like this. The only solution is to have chow outside the area and then go to the Garden. But from experience, we know that is easier said than done.

    bad delivery... WARNING

First I was told it would be 15 min... 40 min later I had to call and check on my order. The onion rings would have been good, if they werent cold. I asked for ranch along w bleu cheese with my chicken wings and only received ranch... oh yeah, and the chicken wings were sweet instead of spicy and were probably the cause of my painful stomach ache. The pears in my salad came from a jar and were hardly cut up, the goat cheese tasted like it was prepackaged, and it arrived with spinach instead of frisee, like stated on the menu. basically, I will never order from this restaurant EVER again.

    Looks that don't deliver

My wife and I started with a app. which should have been good, but it was tasteless, greasy, we took two bits, and sent it back, then came the main course, I had a steak sandwich which was full a fat, peppers, and a lump of cheese, I only had half, my wife had a pork dish, which was covered in so much dry spice rub, thats all you could taste. The waiter ask if everything was o.k., Of course we told her no, she said the manager removed the app from the check, who cared about that we had came to eat. And just couldn't. The bottom line is the place looks, nice, maybe just for a drink or two, but stay away from the food.

    Food not good

Chicken paillard and accompanying side dishes were so salty my tongue burned. My husband ordered a cheeseburger rare which arrived too rare, so he asked them to cook it a bit more. He got a whole new burger (which was nice) except it had no cheese, no lettuce or tomato and was well done as a hockey puck. Server was efficient but charmless. To her credit, she was managing an unwieldy number of tables and it was before a Garden event. Oh, I was also annoyed that we didn't get a bread basket but now I think that was probably a blessing.

    Before the Garden

If you are going to anything at the garden, go here to eat. If its a Rangers game or a concert it becomes a great meeting place. The food is awesome too, if you go get the pot roast.
