    best ribs in NYC!

As a native Texan, I never expect BBQ to "wow" me in the city (much less at a MEXICAN food restaurant!), but this place serves up the goods. I've had their traditional food and it has all been pretty good, as well, but get the baby back ribs with the jalepeno mac n cheese and you WILL NOT be disappointed!!!! The highest quality ribs I've had outside of Austin, TX...and that's saying something from a rib connesuir such as myself. Enjoy!

good bar food, poor service, subpar delivery

ive eaten there and gotten take out... and myexperience just that the service is not good... but the food is pretty good, and there is something on the menu for everyone. pretty cool atmosphere but if your only 2 people dont bother to try to sit at a 4 top. they will move you... yes even if you have friends coming. try the mustang sampler with a date, and get a couple of regular cocktails/direct them how you want yours to taste (they make the drinks extremely sweet.) overall i would give this place a 3 out of 5

    Mixed Service, Good Food

I wanted to wait until I had been here a few times before I posted. I'm happy I did because had I gone on after my first experience it would have been a horrible review. Initially when I went in, I was seated and taken care of by what had to be one of the worse servers I ever had to deal with. He was inattentive and it was obvious he didn't want to be there. When I complained that something was added to my check by accident he argued with me for a full 5 minutes before he finally got the manager to take it off. I was pretty sure I would never go back. However, the food is good and fairly priced so I decided to give it one more go. This time, I avoided tables and went straight for the bar; boy was that experience a 180. First off, the happy hour prices are insanely good for an upper east side bar. Second, the bartenders are awesome. Both have welcoming and fun personalities. All in all: the food is worth a return but table service is a game of chance. Stick with the bar!

Don't go for just drinks w/ a group!!!

Went on Sun. for after brunch b-day drinks for a friends b-day (which the waiter knew it was her b-day). Get the bill and not only does he have the nerve to tack on the 18% gratuity b/c we were a party of seven but doesn't even have the decency to give the b-day girl a complimentary drink!!

    Love Mustang Grill!

The food and service at Mustang Grill is exceptional. Our server was so nice and thoughtful about our menu choices. Had amazing nachos and TY KU cocktails upon his suggestion. Will visit again.

    Bad tequila

I went here for some casual tex-mex. Being a tequila drinker I ordered a specific tequila (Cabo Wabo). I am not sure what they served me but at best it was Montezuma. I would never go here for drinks again. And the food was just awful as well. The service was inattentive and borderline rude. Overall never again

    What a great experience...

My husband and I spent Memorial weekend in NYC from Minnesota. We walked by the restaurant and could see that it was packed. We perused the menu and while doing so the hostess told us that a table would be available shortly as a couple was just settling the bill. We were seated immediately after they left. The loaded nachos were delicious, the peach margarita was very fresh tasting with bits of juicy peaches in it. The service was great and the food was too. I can't believe the one couple was actually kicked out by the manager, that was really rude and unforgiveable, but maybe things have changed for the better since then???
