The bagels are the best in the city! This place can really have something going for them, They just have to fine tune the customer service experience. Could be a little less expensive and the staff can be just a little more friendly. Free Samples would go a long way in a place like this.

I don't like bagels that are not toasted and they don't do toasted! The spreads are okay, but what good is that if it is on "bread"? Buy a dozen, buy the spread then go home and toast it. Sound likes too much work right? So go elsewhere and spend $10 for 2 bagels with spread that toast the suckers!

Good bagels, but they won't toast them. Fine if the bagel you want is just out of the oven, but chances are it's not. I don't eat cold bagels. Period. Good choice if you're taking the bagels home for you to do what you want . If you're on the run and like hot bagels, you'll have to settle for whatever just came out of the oven or perfect your timing.

I spent many an afternoon sitting in Murray's Bagels, reading the free local newspaper, enjoying a sesame bagel stuffed to the brim with tuna. If anything I would complain about the amount of filling they expected me to eat! But I could hardly ask them to put in less, it all tasted so good. And while not the cheapest around, the fact that I could use their free WiFi internet while I ate just added to the appeal and was a reason I went again and again. Once you try it, you're sure to go back.

As an Aussie visiting nyc last year, I got my bagel fix at murrays. great sandwiches, but they pack a lot of cream cheese onto the humble bagel. But then everyone in America seems to do that! It kept a lot of us in the hostel around the corner happy.

When it comes to finding a good bagel in NY, you would be surprised at how many places make them too fat, too doughy, too hard, can't toast them without burning them.... I would rather pay a little more for a consistently great bagel, like Murray's does, than take my chances with other places.

Nothing better than a nice, big, fat, warm...... bagel. Yup - thats right - we all say we should not eat them, but we all do. We lie about it to all of our friends. Well, if your gonna do it, do it with the best - just don't let your girlfriend (or boyfriend) catch you. Eat those carbs big boy - just do it!! This place honestly has the best bagels in NYC - hands down. If you can stand waiting in neverending line on any given saturday or sunday morning for what is actually just a piece of carb-induced bread - please do!! You won't be disappointed. They are really amazing - warm, toasty, crispy ouside but so soft inside, just delish!!!! And, a nice variety as well. And if you want to complain about the price of cream cheese - then buy a car and pay for the gas to get your damn bagel someplace else. Signed - a Murray's fan!! PS - most people will stick with the standard flavors - they are always piping hot. So if you like an odd, less important flavor, and if warm is what you demand, bring the thing home and warm it up in your toaster or microwave.
