Have been ordering delivery from here for many years, and was having a hard time finding any other good Indian food when Mumtaz on Third Ave shut down. I'm soooooooo happy they are back!

By far the best Indian food I've ever had. Many of the dishes I've tried have a unique flavor that other Indian restaurants just cant seem to top and you probably wont find another restaurant that serves such flavorful dishes! My personal favorites are the Mango lassi drink followed by main course with a sizzling tandori chicken dish and nan with those amazing condiments they have (Especially the green sauce!)

Small tables, too close together, with little space for food. Restaurant not busy but waited for waiter to bring menus. Standard Indian fare offered. No papadum served. Chicken Tikka not served on sizzling platter but, rather, on a plate with undercooked onions and green peppers. Not very hot, nor was my partner's chicken saag served hot. The nan was hot and fresh. Rice was gluey Waiter was something out of a Woody Allen movie. I wondered if we were actually on "Candid Camera". Beer was good. Wine pedestrian. Too many Indian restaurants in this neighborhood to go back. Overall, mediocre but not overpriced

Wow, I haven't had food like that in a long, long time. I'm not a big fan of vegetarian dishes but at my friend’s request, I decided to try Shag Ponir. It was spectularly tasteful. I used the rice to whip of every ounce of the sauce that was left. I loved the dish. I also has the mango yogurt which I liked very much. I'm making this place my new favorite place. I also like the fact that the prices are very reasonable.

I died a small death when I thought Mumtaz (on 3rd Ave) had closed for good, but lo and behold, they're back and as great as ever. I could live on their chicken tikka masala and aloo muter, and I practically do. Food is consistently flavorful and fresh, and the phone/delivery service is always polite and courteous. Great value, too.

Delicious! I love the spacious new Mumtaz; I'm really glad they are back. The deco is very nice and I can't get enough of their chicken tandoori with the special condiments. Great job!
