Writing as I'm sitting here. Mugs was out go to spot for years--my wife worked here for the last of 5. New menu and subpar food. Beer list and atmos still fine. Not sure what happened but not happy about it. Will find someplace new to eat before stopping for beers.

Alays a great, well curated selection of interesting and often rare craft beers on draft. The beer never disappoints. I haven't tried much of the food, but I've eaten the veggie burger and the fries recently and I liked them both very much. The fries are fresh cut and really good. The veggie burger looks handmade, I think it has quinoa in it and I like it better than the one they used to use, which seemed like a generic frozen one. The only thing I would say is that I don't think the veggie burger should be deep fried, I think it makes the quinoa partly indigestible. But it tastes good :) That atmostphere is your average pub style and could use some work. It smells like the bathroom/bathroom cleaner, the floor tiles are ugly and outdated and should be replaced with wood to match the rest of the bar, and the front can be freezing in the winter. The waitresses are nice and attentive, the bartenders are hit-or-miss.

I used to be a regular at Mug's, and loved their vegetarian options - they would make a great pasta with just veggies, and their veggie burger was one of my favorites. Sine they updated their menu, I have not been back, the vegetarian options are no longer good, and the whole vibe of the new menu just isn't what it was. It seems like I am not the only person who doesn't like the new menu, so perhaps they will consider changing it back or at least adding a few of the previous staples ...

I've been going here regularly for years. About a year ago they changed their menu. I've tried to eat here several time since and its just a mess. Mugs had been our go to when we wanted a casual meal. Now we only go for beers. The only consistency with the food is that its not good. And what is up with the ridicules over sized glass bowls??! They are so awkward and annoying to eat out of. They make everything into a soggy mess so that now ordering a salad is not even an option. The new menu looked like trouble from the start, less variety, higher prices. Then to add insult to injury everything I've tried is bad. And I've tried. I've gotten soggy fries, cold nachos and sad sad sandwiches. Bring back the old favorites, salads, half chicken, burgers and the black bean burrito! Please! And get a new cook. A cook that cares what people think. It really feels like someone has either given up or doesn't care.

I've been a Mugs customer for the past 8 years. Sometime in the last year they changed their menu for the worse. They removed some favs from the menu, added some sub-par choices, raised the price and lowered the quality. I am beyond disappointed. I love going to mugs for a beer and some reliable pub cuisine. Not anymore. I've tried 90% of the new menu over the last number of months and I can honestly say, yuck! I tried Mugs. I really tried! Perhaps the move isn't to defrost your food, but to defrost your chef. The menu tastes so defrosted and cheap, I'd be embarrased if I owned the joint.

Well I have been a patron of Mug's for at least 15 yrs and it's really a shame, that I have to write a bad review. Mug's has been known for the Williamsburger, which HAD an ice roll that made it perfect, but now they replaced it with a terrible plain hamburger bun, which breaks apart and made my meal horrible. And to TOP it off, they raised it a buck higher. I think they should take 2 steps back. So after 15 yrs I will, look for a new place!

My boyfriend and I have been going to Mugs for about 5 years now. Not once have we been disappointed... until last night. We get there around 8:45 and find a table. We wait for our waitress to bring us menus and take our drink order, as per usual. Our waitress never even stops at the table. After about 15 minutes of waiting, the "hostess" brings over 3 menus for four people and says she has to find out who is our waitress for the night... Shouldn't that have already been decided before they opened for dinner?! After waiting for another 15 minutes, our drink orders have not even been taken. We get up and leave. The funniest part was that the same hostess was telling another group of 4 that we were "just finishing up" and our table is now available. HILARIOUS! We let them know that we were leaving because we haven't even spoken to the wait staff after 30 minutes of waiting! Normally, there are three really great waitresses there, that already know our order before we sit down. They were MIA last night. They're food is good for bar food. We always order the buffalo calamari and the fish of the day, which comes with some awesome mashed potatos. If you're going here, I recommend going early and on a weekday, when it's not nice out (to avoid the williamsburg park crowd)
