Mughlai

I remember when the food here was good. It seems to have gown downhill over the past few months. We used to order takeout often, but the last few times the food was so oily - every dish was pure oil. The chicken was all brown meat, cartilage, and other worst parts they could find. It was so bad that we couldn't even eat it. We were so repulsed with it we decided to never order from here again.

This is our favorite local Indian spot. Extremely attentive waiters. Try the Tandoori specialties.

We've lived on the UWS for years but for some reason never got around to eating here. Last night we were starving and looked inside when we walked by. The ambiance didnt make the food look promising because it looked like a place tour buses might stop. But we decided to risk it since the restuarant has been there for years... We were very pleasantly surprised. The food was really delicious, fresh. We had mixed grill and the meats were tender, well spiced. We had samosas which we very good. Great neighborhood find. Would definetly go back.

Planned a weekday night dinning out with my wife and was totally disappointed. The starters were stale the main course was not good either. The ambience was boring and dull. The icing on the cake was service charge which was not in any proportion to total amount we paid. Now I have started wondering how Zagate rate such restaurant.

After mediocre service and poor seating, the food was good enough to turn the whole evening around!! This is by far one of the best restaurants I have eaten at. If you want good food then you have to try this place.

This is a very good Indian restaurant, way above the average. The food is fresh, well-prepared, and the service has always been good enough so that I have no complaints. I've lived in this neighboorhood for 8 years, and Mughlai has always been the best. You're paying more, but it's worth it.

Forget the negative reviews on this site. They are ridiculous. If you are set on enjoying great food, and a cozy atmosphere - then head to Mughlai. My husband and I go at least once a month, and we have never been disappointed. Depending on the time of day that you go, of course service can be slow - and if you are expecting dishes to taste exactly like other restaurants, then of course you'll be disappointed. People that do that are expecting failure, and that's a waste of energy. Mughlai has been around for a while, they have their competition beat - and are doing quite well. The staff is friendly, the food is fresh and clean, the menu variety is mouth watering, and everything is super delicious. We've eaten there at the restaurant, and ordered delivery. No problems. Listen, you get what you put out there. Believe me, Mughlai is worth every penny.
