Poor food, good service
The food was dry and not at all tasty, but it is in a good location with good service.

What happened?
Mughlai's food is usually fresh and flavorful- and that's why I'm willing to pay a bit extra for it. But we had 2 entrees yesterday that were absolutely devoid of flavor. Bring back the flavor or I'm not coming back!

Disappointing meal!
Overpriced subpar food. Very disappointing lunch. We ordered the chicken lunch entree which was one small, tough, dry tandoori chicken thigh. It came with a side of bitter tasting peas, lots of daal and a small amount of rice for $11.99, not $9.99 as the window sign boast, only the veggie lunch is $9.99. Food was inedible, dry and very spicy yet flavorless. The most disappointing Indian I have ever had! Samosas apps were greasy, and very spicy, not like any other samosa I have ever had anywhere. No! Pass on this one.

Must Go restaurant
I have been to over 20 Indian restaurants in NYC, and I always get chicken tikka masala. But undoubtedly Mughalai has the best one, it was delicious. Also if you are confused what to order, I would suggest you to ask the waiter to recommend some dish/es. Because everything my server recommended was simply delectable, especially the restaurant’s chef specialty. Also don’t forget to add mango lassi to your order or an Indian beer.

Great food
Excellent Indian, but you have to know what to order. We have gotten some disappointing dishes, but now that we know what we like we get take out all the time. Rice with cumin seeds, tandoori chicken, and the chickpeas with tomato are their best dishes. I recommend this place.

Delicious Food, Poor Service
My wife and I have been eating @ Mughlai for 2 years, typically about once or twice a month.. The food is always delicious (though somewhat overpriced) but as of late the service has been subpar. Twice in a row now we've been seated in the same waiter's section. Each time he's tried to up-sell us...and not in a reasonable way. Rather than suggest that we order something complementary to our main course, he'll tell us we need to order more rice or na'an than it already comes with. He is entirely unattentive, especially once he knows we are done ordering food from him and it takes a ridiculous amount of time to flag him down and bring us our check. It is unfortunate that one person can ruin what is otherwise an enjoyable meal.
