    What value for money?

We thought that rice maybe was included in the price at an Indian restaurant, or maybe is everyone supposed to eat just chicken or lamb and nothing else? Food was on a normal level for an Indian restaurant and the service was also standard. When having to pay, I was a bit "surprised" over the service charge at 15% for a family of 2 adults and 2 children, while it is more common with companies of 5 or more. This is probably something they do only with "tourists"?

    Great Food, Great Service

After seeing the reviews, I reluctantly went to the restaurant (had no time to go elsewhere). The interior was nicely decorated. The waiter was very cheery and recommended some dishes to us. There was about 5-6 other groups of customers already seated. It didn't take long for the food to arrive. We had the Goa fish curry and malai kofta. First time I had the fish curry but it was good. The malai kofta however was one of the best I've ever had and they gave us 4 pieces whereas other places only gave you 2. Me and my friend could hardly finish our food. The portions are big. We were so full we didn't ask for dessert but the waiter gave us complimentary dessert - how nice of them, the kheer was great too. Overall, I really do love this place. I don't know why they received poor reviews, I'm glad I went there regardless. Definitely worth the money.

    Not worth the money

We wanted to splurge a little last night and picked Mughlai based on their ratings and reviews. Delivery for dinner for two with appetizers and a dessert came to $83. Fine, if it's great food, but it wasn't. Also, they took 50 minutes to deliver it and forgot our dessert the first time. The Assorted Mughlai Hors D'oeuvres and the Keema Samosas were dry, crusty and flavorless. We ordered cans of soda and got cups of fountain soda that were flat, warm, and watery. The rice was cold and the Mulligatawny soup was bland. The Naan and the entrees (Kashmiri Korma, and Lamb Pasanda) were decent. Unfortunatly, they weren't good enough to justify the cost or make up for the rest of the meal.

    2nd Generation Mughlai fans!

I used to come here as a kid growing up and have fell back in love with Mughlai as I am now married and rasing my own daughter on the west side. The atmosphere is charming and reminds me of family dinners here years ago and the food is better than I remember it although I have always been fond of Pindi Channa and Poori's! Ask for Bashir when you arrive, he is an effective host and always pays attention to our little ones.

    SOOOO GOOD!!

We live right around the corner and this is our go to for Inidian in the neighboorhood. Food is always fresh and excellent. The garlic naan is to die for-you can even see the guy making it. Best naan I've had in the city. I do agree that the waiters can be a little over attentive/annoying. We go for the OUTSTANDING food. Not sure what the others are talking about this food is great! See for yourself...

    What a disappointment!

Our waiter was very annoying, he repeated our order about five times almost insisting that we order more. The mango lassies are water down mango shakes that do not taste refreshing or like traditional lassies. And the service charge doesn't merit the service at all. There are far better Indian restaurants in NYC for less money. Once is enough.

    Gone downhill...

I remember when the food here was good. It seems to have gown downhill over the past few months. We used to order takeout often, but the last few times the food was so oily - every dish was pure oil. The chicken was all brown meat, cartilage, and other worst parts they could find. It was so bad that we couldn't even eat it. We were so repulsed with it we decided to never order from here again.
