Amazing!
Best Indian in NYC! Fresh and authentic and delicious

Must Go restaurant
I have been to over 20 Indian restaurants in NYC, and I always get chicken tikka masala. But undoubtedly Mughalai has the best one, it was delicious. Also if you are confused what to order, I would suggest you to ask the waiter to recommend some dish/es. Because everything my server recommended was simply delectable, especially the restaurant’s chef specialty. Also don’t forget to add mango lassi to your order or an Indian beer.

Great food
Excellent Indian, but you have to know what to order. We have gotten some disappointing dishes, but now that we know what we like we get take out all the time. Rice with cumin seeds, tandoori chicken, and the chickpeas with tomato are their best dishes. I recommend this place.

Delicious Food, Poor Service
My wife and I have been eating @ Mughlai for 2 years, typically about once or twice a month.. The food is always delicious (though somewhat overpriced) but as of late the service has been subpar. Twice in a row now we've been seated in the same waiter's section. Each time he's tried to up-sell us...and not in a reasonable way. Rather than suggest that we order something complementary to our main course, he'll tell us we need to order more rice or na'an than it already comes with. He is entirely unattentive, especially once he knows we are done ordering food from him and it takes a ridiculous amount of time to flag him down and bring us our check. It is unfortunate that one person can ruin what is otherwise an enjoyable meal.

House of Indian Food
I was roaming on the NY streets in search of Indian food, because i was bored of eating bread and salads, of zero taste and health value. Suddenly i saw this restaurant and thought to have lunch here. As i entered in to the hotel, hotel owner himself came towards me and elegantly asked about my food choice. His politeness and way of talking was really nice and i took decision to have my lunch at this place.I ordered chicken plate with dal, naan, paneer-mutter, and raita. Food was excellent and it was really like a home food. Splly kheer was superb as made by my mother. Its really a good experience to have indian food in this hotel.Service given by staff was superb and atmosphere was calm and quite as we experience it at our home.

Poor food quality
The food came very late like 45 mins. and the shrimp dish that we order came uncooked. Very upset with the food. We are not going to go to that place anymore..

Superior
Mughlai is, by far, the best Indian restaurant on the UWS, and one of the best in Manhattan. The staff are warm and courteous and the food is prepared beautifully, with great attention to balance of flavors (unlike the one-dimensional gruel served by most others in the neighborhood). I've eaten at many wonderful restaurants in Delhi, Calcutta, Bombay an the UK and Mughlai is right up there.
