I didn't know szechuan beef could be flavorless

At a chinese restaurant, when in doubt, I order szechuan beef. It's usually a safe bet considering it's a flavorful and spicy dish. To my surprise, upon receiving my order, I discovered that my dish had absolutely no taste. If you consider oil to be a taste, then great, it had flavor, but otherwise, nothing. How is that possible? I love the pan fried dumplings here, and the wonton soup is also quite good, but their szechuan beef is a major fail. I imagine that if this dish was lacking, many of their other entrees are sub-par as well. My husband ordered a dish called "hot lovers", or something to that effect, which was supposed to be spicy and crispy. His dish was neither of these. The only flavor/texture was sweet syrupy-ness. Overall, the appetizers and soups are quite good, but everything else is a disappointment.

    Just another Chinese joint

Ordered in. They bungled part of the order, but that wasnt fatal. Food was nothing special. General Tso's was very heavy on the batter and light on the protein. Dumplings were clearly pre-packaged/bought from a restaurant supply wholesaler. Im going to keep looking for a better Chinese takeout.

    Best chinese food

This place is awesome i come there for lunch and dinner 3 to 4 times a week and always enjoy the food. The waiters are very friendly and the food is always great. I definatly recommend this place for a great meal dining or take out.

    Bomb Schnizle

Legit. After waking up around noon on Saturday with a massive hangover from the night before, General Tso’s came to the rescue again. Those fried sugary bites of chicken and fluffy white rice put an instant damper on my intense nausea. Half way through it I knew I was going to be ready for the next 8 hours of watching movies on my couch. Tonight it’s going to be the second half of my lunch for dinner and a few more beers. Well done Mr. Wonton. Well done.

    No better Chinese food...

We've been coming here for years. Friendly, attentive service, great prices, and the best Chinese food I've found anywhere in a very, very long time. It's also beautifully presented, with carrots carved like roses -- lovely to look at. And the food is amazing. It's a small, quiet and very pleasant place for a leisurely dinner, and I've never, ever been disappointed. And guess what? The restrooms are clean, too! An all around terrific place!
