I'm spurred to write this review tonight because of the excellent comfort food we just ate: fried rice. It may be one of the perfect comfort foods, and Mr. Tong's is excellent--not greasy, not to salty, not too anything, and each grain seared nicely. My spouse had veggie with some fried tofu, and he loved it. I ordered the Young Chow fried rice, and it may be the best I've ever had. We regularly order vegetarian dishes from Mr Tong, but our favorite might be the veggie Mu Shu. Sauces are never too heavy. My one disappointing experience was Gen Tso's tofu (the broccoli was dismal and way too much sauce), but I should have known better, anyway. After ordering from Mr Tong's for 6+ years, we're still calling back. Delivery people are nice, too. (If you have a problem, call and let them know: they're good at making up for it.)

As takeout Chinese goes (not takeout from an actual sit-down restaurant) Mr. Tong is a great choice. Food taste and quality is above average. Everything is always prepared well, not greasy and quality is consistent. When ordering on the phone, delivery is here less than 20 minutes after hanging up the phone.

The food is okay but the service is rude. I don't need to be verbally abused by Mr. Tong when I can order from another place.

The first time I ate from here I liked it but regretted it later. I gave them a second chance and I'm so glad that I did. While the food is nothing fancy everything is always solid to above average. They make a great garlic sauce and their shrimp dishes are good, too. Delivery is always fast. I would recommend this over any other Chinese food in the neighborhood.
