I went to Mr. K's during Restaurant week 2006. Their "Restaurant Week" menu was a complete rip off. None of the items on the menu, when added up individually, added up to the $35 Prix Fixe. When questioned about this, they gave me the runaround. Then they sent out an appetizer without ordering it and said that they were sorry for the misunderstanding about the Prix Fixe. The food was completely average (nothing that can't be ordered from the hundreds of delivery places at 1/4 the price). Then the bill came out and they charged me for the appetizers that we didn't order that they gave to us as an apology for the mix up with the Prix Fixe menu. Not only did they charge us, but they charged us $15 each (over twice as expensive as any other appetizer). What a rip off.

The food here is fantastic ... though a little pricier than you are probably use to for Chinese. But trust me it's so worth it. This is what Chinese food should taste like.

I've had the pleasure of eating at Mr. K's on various occasions (and some non-occasions), everything from a luncheon with friends, a respite from shopping, dining with old and new friends and even celebrating my mother's birthday. The food is brilliant - several friends and myself have gone to the other high and higher rated Chinese restaurants to compare and, although they might compare on certain plates - there is not one Chinese restaurant in NYC that beats Mr. K's in the quality of the food and the service. - Absolutely great for dinner, excellent for lunch and an absolute for a special occasion.

The space at this place is unbelievable. The food simply scrumptious. And the service--totally attentive.

I went to Mr K's on my summer vacation, and it was awesome. The waiters were at your every need, and the food was fabulous. The atmosphere was relaxing and gorgeous. I would recommend the Ginger Beef. P.S. They do have a dress code!

Definitely spacious, which is rare in midtown, NYC. The waiters are attentive. But otherwise disappointing. The crispy beef may as well have been fried pork rinds, the Peking duck was bland. The hot and sour soup was not so good. I would not recommend.

This is the best chinese food i have ever had in my life...no joke. The peking duck is the signature dish and a must. Another hidden gem is the grand marnier prawns and the crispy beef appetizer. Treat yourself, it's worth it.
