I recently went to this restaurant, and was totally DISAPPOINTED. Being a native NYer and more specifically I'm from Brooklyn, there are literally 4-5 Chinese restaurants within a 10 block radius in just about any Brooklyn neighborhood. Keeping this in mind, I was totally flabbergasted by the astronomical prices of some very basic meals... I understand that you're also paying for the decor, service etc. but the mark up was just unreal. However, the service was notable.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in New York. From the time you enter the restaurant to the time you leave you have experienced a most rewarding evening of dining . From the dedicated manager to the highly personable waiters to the talented chef there is a combined effort to promote excellence and a guaranty to yourself that you will again return. Many thanks to Johnny Kao and a wonderful staff..

Very disapointed. We went in a large group and all ordered different items. We were all disapointed with the quality of the food, it was no better than your average cheap take-out. For the price, a trip to this resturant simply cannot be justified

8/24/06 The atmoshpere, food and service were as close to perfect as it comes. Art deco building inspired the restaurant decor and is easy and relaxing. Service could not be better. The table and food presentaiton was lovely. Food: just the best ive ever had. Worth every penny.

Food lacks creativity, and the decor was just too pink. I mean everything was Pink! Basically, if you are looking to be impressed this is not the place.

Absolutely delicious and you won't find another chinese restaurant with such a plush setting. the food is excellent and waiters are so attentive and they have chopsticks of all the celebrities that have gone there and there are a lot. the chilean sea bass is very very very good. and so is the peking duck
