Not recommended
Went here today and had been warned about the awful service. We were the only people in the restaurant for brunch at 1pm when we sat down and we didn't even order for the first 20 minutes. After finally giving our order to the waiter, our appetizer came with our food. We asked for "le pannier" which was supposed to be a basket of pastries, muffins, and croissants. It came with 3 croissants and that was it. Waiter never checked on us, rather kept sending the bus boy over as to avoid us. Overall disappointing experience and will never go back. Given the competition in the area, why would we go to a place with poor service and small portions?

Good food and great music
I went to MPD the other night and had a great time. I was with a girl and we had dinner before going to a club. Loved the vibe, they played really cool music. The place is not that big so they stayed pretty busy around midnight.

hummmm
while the food is ok the place is loud, the ambiance is fun and lots of good looking ppl... altho rumors has it that they may be going out of business or changing management... so will it remain the same?

MPD the new it-SPOT
People below who say that this place is "too loud" and "overpriced" are silly. You do know you are dining in the heart of NYC's meatpacking district, right? MPD is one of my favorite places right now and one with the hottest spots to be seen. All beautiful people. Also, you are paying for gourmet food from one of the greatest chefs around. A must go!

Disappointing bartender and drinks
My party had to send drinks back a couple of times. The noise and party atmosphere is distracting while eating dinner. Tooooo loud...

Great place!
had dinner friday night and was thoroughly impressed! had the filet mignon carpaccio, and gazpacho soup. for dinner, salmon ( little undercooked)and cheese ravioli (the ravioli was amazing). everything was GREAT and certainly in my top 5 nyc restaurants! The drinks were very good. The atmosphere was cozy but trendy.The waiters were professional. And everyone left impressed and stuffed. Overall I would certainly recommend this place to others looking for an good dinning experience!
