    Great Sushi!

The sushi is great and the waiters are extremely friendly! I love the tiger role! Their sashimi is the best; its sooo fresh! I generally love the place. I one hundred percent recommend it!

    NOT undersized at all!

Americans like to oversize the sushi at Mottsu is standard Japanese size, and last I checked, that's where sushi came from. The Una Don also has more eel on it than most Japanese restaurants in New York and it was good eel too.

    Not recommended

totally depressing atmosphere with musack playing and about 10 waiters milling around for the 6 customers in the restaurant. despite the ratio of waitstaff to diner, the service was not good (one waiter banged down my sushi plate with such force that he knocked my water glass over). the rock shrimp tempura were made with those unappetizing little baby shrimp, they were dripping with grease (so much so that they were actually served on a piece of thick white folded paper!) and there was no other garnishing on the plate (not a leaf of green to be seen). the sushi was overpriced, with only one piece of salmon, and fish that did not look fresh. and it wasn't even as good as the pre-prepared takeout from any old place. a disappointing meal for 2 cost $80! we will definitely not be returning.

    Good sushi spot

Usually order for delivery from here....it's fast and the sushi is good. I've also eaten there...no real frills, but nice and clean. Definitely recommend for take out.

    yummy yummy

This place isn't too far from my job place, it's pretty good considering the fact the lunch box special I get is pretty huge. They deliver pretty quickly also. Once I'm done I say YUMMY YUMMY!

    Undersized portions

The sushi is undersized and overpriced. Calling it mediocre would be a complement. We ordered a spider roll that had one teeny tiny crab leg sticking out of one piece. It cost $11 bucks and was half the size of the spicy tuna roll. The eel cucumber roll was probably the smallest, stingiest portion that I've ever had, it was unbelievable. We left totally hungry and angry that we had wasted $40 on 5 rolls.

Excellent food and service - clean

While visiting New York our party of five had the pleasure of accidentially dining at the restaurant. We hadn't planned on dining there but after a day of shopping just happen to sit outside. The choice could not have been better if we read through 100 restaurant reviews. The food selection was wonderful, service was excellent (servers were knowledgable and pleasant) and the restaurant and bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Our party will go back and I am recommending the restaurants to visitors.
