Horrible
I ordered for delivery. This meal left me feeling gross and was overpriced. Pizza dough had a bad flavor ostensibly from the oven.. For $14 it was tiny with hardly any cheese or sauce. They no longer have green salads unless you call parsley and chives a salad. The baby brussell sprouts were baby alright and tasted pretty bad with the bacon bits. Extremely disappointing.

Less doughy. Much better
They must have read the reviews...I've been to Motorino several times and though Ive enjoyed the pizza, the crust had been super doughy. Not anymore! The crust was perfect tonight. Spinach salad was tasty, though a tad heavy on the olive oil. The service was friendly and quick. Will most definitely return.

tasty, but overpriced
i really do like motorino, but the pizzas are very small for the price. they really are individual sizes, but priced like sharing size. the quality is very high, but i won't go back any time soon because of the value. they need to make the pies 20% larger.

sliding fast
This place was terrific, when they 1st opened. It has been a downward spiral since. The chef and owner is a terrific guy who knows his stuff, however he can not maintain the staff to bring it to surface. The pizza crust has gotten thick & doughy and is generally sent out burnt. Not crispy the way a wood burning oven works when the temperature is carefully watched. You taste smoldering ashes with burnt crust and you table looks like a fireplace when the plates are cleared. It was perfect during their initial run. Prices are high in relation to the portions and quality. The staff is far from knowledgeable and genial at best. This restaurant had so much potential...

Overrated
Really, I think this place is overrated. I have been there twice and have tried about 4 of the pizzas and also some of the appetizers. For my taste, the pizza has too high a proportion of crust, and the topings are too thin. I realize the ingredients are top quality and the idea is simplicity, and the ingredients ARE incredible, there just isn't enough (and I'm talking sauce and cheese here, not necessarily the sausage or other topics you might add). I just think this place is way overhyped.

great *neapolitan* pizza in williamsburg
Motorino has gotten a lot of rave reviews lately in the press. For the most part, they are well deserved. Although Motorino happens to be located in Brooklyn, they do not serve Brooklyn-style pizza. So if you're looking for some big slices go elsewhere (I'd suggest Carmine's about a block north, some of the best Brooklyn pizza around). They have a nice array of delicious Neapolitan style pizzas. That means, small, thin-crust pizzas with nicely charred crusts and high-quality ingredients. It's not cheap and the portions are not huge. But if you think of it as a nice Italian restaurant that happens to specialize in pizza and not as a pizzeria, it's not that expensive and it's very tasty.
