    Very, very disappointed

For the past several years, I have counted Morrell among my few, favorite, consistently delicious restaurants in midtown. Unfortunately, with their new chef, that has changed. A friend and I went for dinner last night and found that the service was not

    Group bookings are impossible

I had a larger group of people and wanted to book this restaurant for dinner. I must have called their special events people at least 6-7 times and they are either not there or don't return calls. 1 finally called me back after 2 weeks of trying to tell

    Sit at the Bar

I have been going to Morrell's since 2003 and it remains my favorite bar in NYC. The bartenders are fantastic and the food never disappoints. I rarely even order a wine, I simply tell the extremely knowledgeable bartenders what I am in the mood for and th

    Go for the wine

I was surprised to read so many good reviews of this restaurant. Yes, the wine list is terrific, especially if you're interested in sampling several wines by the glass. But the food is just OK and, despite the $45 prix fixe menu, it's not cheap. Go for a

    Enjoyable every time

I happen to work in the area and eat lunch here at least twice a week and dinner at least once a week. I find it to be an enjoyable experience every time. The food is always top notch, seasonal and Fresh. The wine list is vast and ever changing. I think

    Just ok

We had wine, appetizers and dinner. The selection of wines is great. The staff needs more training on the wines if they want to present themselves as a wine bar. I asked for a recommendation on a light red wine, like a pinot noir from Europe. The wait

    Excellent wine and great food

The wine either by the glass or bottle choices are fantastic. We ate dinner as well and had the cheese plate, soup, hamachi and lobster salad for an appetizer. All were very good and the main courses were the salmon and snapper and dessert was excellent.
