Great for lunch and dinner
We were in New York last month and stayed at 57th Street. We came across Morning Star each time we walked down 57th. Had breakfast and dinner there. Great value, big portions, I recommend this restaurant to anyone.

pretty bad
Just left Morning Star. Only ate 1/4 of my tuna melt because the entire thing tasted and felt like it had been microwaved.

What a deal!
First, I notice that some of the reviews are written "obviously" by the same person. This 9pm fellow should enjoy some peace and quiet that time of night. I love a good home cooked meal and I have found a spot to take my business to when I visit NY quarterly. The food is great, the staff has always taken care of me. I have yet to leave this little corner restaurant less than full and smiling. The portions are big, the price is very,,,reasonable for NY or anywhere else for that matter.

Outstanding Breakfast
I found Morning Star to be a refreshing change. Excellent omlet, pleasant staff, good value. So good, that I returned the next day!!

Delivery? Not so much.
I live only six short blocks away and on the same avenue and was told that I live too far for delivery. Not sure what the point of having delivery service is if you have to live across the street to get it!

Classic Diner
Went here for dinner on a cold night and received excellent service (refilled my coffee 3 times and was not impatient). Great entertainment in the form of people-watching a busy intersection and would highly recommend this place to experience the "New York Diner." Great for single or casual dining.

Must Eat
I recently visited Manhattan for a school spring term. I ate at the Morning star my first day there and constantly found myself back. The staff is WONDERFUL. I cannot tell you how many times they gave us tips on where to go to shop or what to see. Eating at the morning star was one of my favorite parts of the trip. I will GLADLY go back on my next visit. Definitely worth the money, breakfast is amazing. If you like OJ, be sure to get it.
