I got Bangers and Mash today at this place. I paid about $18 not including a tip. It tasted like Hot Dogs and mashed potatoes. I feel ripped off. I won't go back here.

Went with family on April 11, 2008. Service was timely but not intrusive. Food was tasty and quantities appropriate. Caesar salad dressing was inadequate but qucikly corrected. Drinks were top quality and attentively refreshed. Wait staff was charming. I'd recommend in a heartbeat.

I hosted my son’s wedding here on 7/7/07. We wanted an intimate setting since we had 35 guests, and Moran’s has a party room upstairs that has the charm and elegance of a 19th century parlor in an Irish countryside estate. There is a large wooden bar in the room, and one guest told me she had the best Cosmopolitan of her life from the delightful Irish barmaid. The food was fantastic with choices of salmon Wellington, chicken marsala and penne ala vodka. The price I paid, which was extremely reasonable for NYC, included only 2 choices, but Jennifer, the catering manager, generously offered to add a third choice for no extra charge. Everything was included – even the champagne! The wedding was a full 5 hours, including a cocktail hour. Jennifer was extremely accommodating. Every time I would write an e-mail, she would answer within 10 minutes! Several guests told me that this was the best wedding they had ever been to. I wish I lived closer to Moran’s, since I would be sure to go there every week. Every time I made a trip there, I felt like one of the family, and the beauty of the restaurant and the fantastic food is enough to put you in a good mood for the rest of the day.

The lamb stew is great, the wait staff is friendly. Try not eat near the bar on st.patty's.

I love the character and charm of this place. I also have to agree that they have the nicest staff of probably anywhere I've been in NYC. The food is always great and it's a great atmosphere to just relax, eat good food and have drinks with friends. Highly recommended!

I absolutely recommend this to everyone. The only thing more beautiful than the atmosphere are the wonderful Irish waitresses who are more than friendly. Great food at a great place. Do yourself a favor and check it out. You will surely be back again.

This place is great, the food is awesome and the staff are very friendly and helpfull. It is also a great place for weddings they have a private room whick looks very nice. It used to be a church many year ago. Worth visiting.
