After walking past "Moonstruck" many times, I decided to give it a try this past Saturday. Always apprehesive when trying out a restaurant for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious! I had the broccoli quiche and a "small" Greek salad, to say the least the portions were more than generous. My luncheon companion was equally pleased with her food. Our waiter was always right there when needed, without being annoying. We now want to return to sample the breakfast and dinner menu. I am happy to add "Moonstruck" to eateries that I will return to in the Murray Hill area.

I discovered Moonstruck a bit more than a year ago. Its bright decor, cleanliness and big windows onto Madison and 38th brought me in; the food and competent service brought me back. Diner food is often pretty miserable fare, but I have always found Moonstruck's food to be quite tasty, prepared to my specifications and plentiful. When I need additional items, such as extra butter, hot sauce or syrup, the staff always accommodates my requests speedily. I have only eaten breakfast at Moonstruck, and can state egg dishes, fruit, waffles and breads are always well-prepared, attractive and tasty. Hot food always arrives hot. Last week I had a broccoli and cheddar omelette, and I have never had one as good. Bravo!

Moonstruck on Madison is a great looking place in a great location - the food was a very large portion. Coffee was terrible and eggs were slathered in sauce. I would go back and just order something a little smaller, with less sauce.
