Moonstruck on Madison
Posted by StewM on 11/20/2014
I guess location is everything and if you're in the area (Madison and 38) and want diner food there is no other choice. Too bad because this place, never great, just keeps getting worse. Today the milk in the coffee had turned--about the last thing you need in the morning. Sent it back and a new cup came with new milk, also bad--like their whole milk supply gone bad! Toasted Eng. muffin not toasted; crispy bacon not crispy but greasy and half-cooked. Enough to make you wretch.

Have been going to Moonstruck for years since it is only a couple of blocks away from my office and found it to be good. Today, the service at lunch was slow and when the food arrived the Fundango salad my son ordered did not have all of the ingredients listed on the menu and my tuna club had toast that was rock solid and French fries that were cold.

Our singles church group from Oneness enjoyed the food and atmosphere and the service was great

Stopped for breakfast. Food was mediocre. Coffee was fairly sub par. Service was unbelievably poor. Waiter was rude, couldn't get a coffee refill, etc. we won't come here again.

I am not only a tourist, but also British. My hotel was just across the road so coming here was natural. It was a pleasant choice to have made. The food was good and there was lots of it, at least by my standards! The staff members were always pleasant and coffee was always being offered! It did not find it expensive at all and came here numerous times over the five days I spent in NYC. The rest room was fine too. I'd recommend it as a good place to eat something and have a rest when you are on the go all day in midtown.

I had my brunch there last saturday: cofee+Omelette. the service is good and the price reasonable for midtown $22 per person including tip.
