    Liked this place

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed Moonstruck. We were in NYC for six days vacation, staying on 23rd St. and ate both suppers and breakfasts about 5 times. Food and service were great, as well as the value. For the value patron seeking good food, I don't think it can be beat!

    Never again

I went to this diner for breakfast and was highly disappointed. I waited 45 minutes and never received my order. When I arrived, it look about 15 minutes to get tea and 10 minutes for water. Other customers who arrived after us had their meal, paid the bill and left. The waiter came 30 minutes and said the kitchen was busy when the diner was not full at all. I will never recommend this place and it is bad for them because I like to eat and people trust my recommendations. I ended up going to another place who I know provides better service.

A diner serving a bad breakfast?

My boyfriend and I have a thing about trying to find the best diner in Manhattan -- this is NOT it. Ridiculously high prices, 11.50 for an egg white omelette? At a diner? It took three tries to get a coffee refill. The food came out hot, but BF's order was wrong, and the toast was cold. There is no reason to come here, lots of others near by.

    Shoddy delivery practices

Don't order from this place unless you have the correct change. Otherwise, you could get scammed. I was just forced to give the delivery guy a whopping 40% tip because he didn't have enough change. When I called the manager to complain, he kept laughing and saying, "I don't understand." Moonstruck used to be on the up and up. Not anymore. This was my last experience with them.

    Never again

I have been ordering from this place since 1991, and I'm done. Today (for the fourth time in a row), they got my order wrong. Only, this time, they managed to get the ENTIRE thing wrong (other than the coffee). The people who are posting here about sloppy phone service are right, at least in my recent experience. Avoid ordering over the phone at all costs.

    Fave diner

This is hands down my favorite neighborhood diner, and possibly best diner in the city. Food is always very, very fresh! And they've been good about special requests. It's also clean and friendly. Just wish it had as many windows as the diner across the street!!! Don't know why they haven't remodeled to add more windows, but I'm willing to deal with that for the great, solid dinder food. It's a fave!

    Phone works for me

Granted, I've only been ordering from Moonstruck for a few months, but I've ordered at least a dozen times, and the orders have never been messed up. I always order late at night, and it's usually the same guy answering the phone, so it's possible there's a person earlier in the day who isn't very good at it, but I've had no problems. And the guy at night is always friendly, too! By the way, if you go and eat in, the service is always really good. The food is fine... it's a diner, not a gourmet restaurant. Oh, but the burgers are probably the best in Chelsea, and I always get onion rings instead of fries, which are great!
