From the outside the Moonrock seems a shabby place with the scaffolding but once you get inside, it's actually very nice wsith traditional booths and a counter showing off it's vast range of pastries, which are to die for. If you want breakfast, try the soft, heavenly french toast at a measly $5.25. If you want dinner the burgers, in our opinion, are the best burgers you could possibly get in Ny. The waiting are attentive and friendly, overall a great dining experience.

I ordered today the Neptune platter and some chocolate cake for delivery. Although the food quality remains fairly high, the platter was not as listed. Instead of fish, shrimp, and scallops, I received two pieces of fish, the shrimp, but no scallops. The bill seemed a few dollars over what one would expect from the menu listing, and the order taker got my address wrong, resulting in food being less hot. The act needs to be cleaned up!

Take into account this is a diner and not a gourmet restaurant. We had breakfast there four times and had great service and decent food. We ate there our first night as we wanted something casual and had excellent brisket (with soup or a salad included in the price) for £14

I ordered, and waited a half hour for the eggs...and it was mid day., I was very insulted by their attitude to me, they were not nice. My tea was cold and the restrooms...less said about the better. A bitter experience,

The new owner jacked up all the prices and he is nasty! Do not give him your business. The place has gone downhill. The service and the food aren't nearly as good since he took over. You spend more and get less.

The potatoes are crispy with peppers and onions! The service was incredible. I'll go back again and again!

I used to think Moonrock was just mediocre. But now, I believe its under new management because the food is better and so is the service. The manager is very nice and accomodates delivery requests that are below the usual minimum bill. This is a great diner - especially for this neighborhood.
