The, yes The, best restaurant in NYC!!
I've only had the steak plate with cilantro, but it is the best meal I have had in my three years living in the city. It's also less then 10$!! My favorite place!

Steak Salad supreme!
I've loved Mooncake for over two years now and I can't get enough. Their miso salmon is delicious. I don't even like miso that much but they do it wall. Their Thai Steak salad and Steak Plate with Cilantro and Ginger is to die for. In fact, I'm about to order some at work right now. Love it!

Ugh... Really?
Mooncake used to be good... like four years ago. I work in the area and have found that their food has declined significantly. Their edamame was so overcooked and dry, I could barely get any soybeans out. It was also drowning in salt. The "dressing" for their salads tastes like oj & peanuts mixed together. EW. Not to mention that everything is just sort of slapped together. I've heard that the salmon plate is good -- I dont eat fish, so I wouldnt know. But trust me, that might be the only thing.

Addicted!
Whenever I work in this area, I can't seem to stop myself from ordering the miso-glazed salmon! It's amazing! Their carrot ginger dressing is even more amazing! I can eat this every day, that's how good it is...and such a deal!

Loooooooove it
Mooncake has turned into my new favorite lunch time restaurant in area. I have tried numerous items and everything was amazing. The food is very fresh, satisfying and delicious. My personal favorite is miso salmon.
