Delicious Pizza
This is our favorite go to place for pizza. Our favorites are the margarita and grandma's. The fresh mozzarella and plum tomatoes are amazing. Besides the great pizza we can now order online and pick up on our way home. It would be great if they had an app for this.

Totally Generic
In a nutshell.....Monty Q's is to pizza what the Olive Garden is to Italian Restaurants. Totally generic. There's a new place on Court Street and Remsen called Antonios that's much better.

I wish you could give negative stars. I ran in just before closing time, thinking I don't want to cook, this should be an easy solution. Poorest. Decision. Ever! First, homie at the pasta bar made it spectacularly clear that they were getting ready to close. Twice. Before asking me what I wanted to order - or more specifically asking in an exasperated tone "what pasta?" I asked what my options were he acted like I asked for a kidney. I stated my order guessing based on what I could see on the counter behind him where he had wrapped up all the options. Then he asked me again what pasta. You know if you're in a hurry to close you'd think you'd get the order right the first time. I told him again, when he decided to hand me a slip of paper where I was to check my selections. Couldn't have done that from jump huh? I told him my choices he responded by slamming a pencil on the counter. I chose again. At this point three kids wander in behind me and are discussing their options. He starts telling them to hurry up and in the process burns my meal. you know, if you're closing you might start by closing the door dontcha think? And the end result? A bland oily container of lukewarm Upasta with now undercooked chunks of garlic, not even a whisper of salt all for ten bucks.

AWESOME
I come here a lot with my friends, and the food is great. The pizza is nice and dusty with leftover flour, and the garlic knots are to die for! My only complaint is that one time I was there with my very close friends and we accidentally spilled some tomato sauce and asked for some paper towels. An employee brought us some paper towels with a smirk and said, "here you go queens of England!" We were quite offended, but it was worth it for the food!

I'm so bummed!
I just ordered for delivery from this place, since our regular go to Italian place closed early tonight. The guy on the phone was rude. I told him where I live (8 blocks away) and he said it was really far, even though I explained to him where exactly I am and that I see their delivery guy here all the time. So after him debating if he should or shouldn't take my order, I told him I didn't want to cause his delivery guy any problems and to just cancel our order. Well when he heard that, he decided it wasn't far at all, it was just going to take a long time for his guys to get there (even though they are on a bike).. Well I reviewed the order with him, and he said that we needed to order more, so we got a slice of cake but he was upset we wouldn't order drinks... Wtf. We haven't even gotten our food yet but our service so far has been disappointing. Hope the food is at least good! Never ordering from them again. And I'm going to make sure I check the amount they charge cause I have a feeling it's going to be more than it should.

Do not know how this place could still be open!
I called to place an order for delivery 1/16/11 at 9:30pm, the guy who answered the phone was a complete jerk. Not only did he sound as if he was doing me a favor but when i told him i was on johnson st(which is 9 blocks away) he told me there was a 20 dollar minimum?? then when i asked for a chicken marsala hero he said we are gonna close soon we only have pizza and salad. I hope the owners read this review and realize that everyone complaining about service at montys is correct.

Mediocre Food, Poor Service
The food at Monty's is sometimes good, sometimes mediocre but never great or poor. However, after years of going there with neutral service (i.e.- long waits in the restaurant and for delivery, not so nice staff, etc)... I tolerated it because it's convenient. Yesterday I went in there with my friend, he got his pizza and I waited for about 15 minutes longer. When I walked up the counter to ask about it the man said "Oh, what did you order?" and threw it in the oven when I told him. He just forgot about me!!! So I didn't eat until 30 minutes after my friend. If I did not already pay I would have left! Today I ordered their food to my office. The man on the phone was actually intentionally rude when I asked for a side with my meal (willing to pay for it too!), we waited over an hour to receive our order. The delivery guy told me it was 22.00 so I gave him 25.00. I also asked if he had change of a ten so I could split up the money between orderers. He said "Sorry, I have no singles" and ran out. What delivery guy does not carry singles??!?!?!! Then as the cherry on top I looked at the bill and it was 20 dollars. And then I realize they gave me the wrong pasta and the sauce was practically like they poured milk on my pasta. I will never order from here again. Sorry Monty's!
