aaaahhhhh
I completely echo Sam's earlier comments, when he said he lives about 50 yards away and tries to avoid this place at all costs. In fact, I probably live in the same building as Sam. This place is truly bad. You can get better pizza in Bangalore. Completely unacceptable for NY. Not surprising though, as most NYers would take one look at this place and immediately realize that it is a joke. I only write this review for the benefit of our guests from out of town who deserve to be served an actual slice of NY pizza, but in actuality the review is unnecessary because all you have to do is look at the slices in the display case, which look like they are left over from the freeze dry system on the space shuttle Endeavor. I actually ate there tonight in spite of myself, and considered praying the rosary after doing so just to make myself feel better. If there were ONE other pizza place in this part of the Heights, Monty Q's would be out of business in a month.

Poor pizza
I have to agree with the person below. Pizza has way too little sauce and was too salty, and it was not cheap at all. I don't need to taste anything else. Italian places that base much of their business on their pizza that make poor pizza aren't to be trusted to boil water.

Not recommended
I have only eaten their pizza so that's all I can talk about, but it's their specialty and the news is not good. First of all their pizzas, every single one is close to sauceless. They think a tiny amount of sauce is elegant I think. Well close to sauceless pizza = subpar pizza. The other thing is that this is anther one of those places that makes most of their pizza with scads of silly toppings. Don't get me wrong, if you like that, that's fine. But they do it so much they have lost the forest for the trees. They haven't perfected their base pizza, and they disguise this with broccoli and truffle-dipped-spring-artichokes in a rosemary infused roulade (just making that up, you get the point). If they perfected their base pizza, then put on all their bourgeois toppings.

My personal cafeteria!
I go to Monty Q's 4-5 times a month. The food is great. No tipping. Plenty of space and plenty of choices. The folks who say it is too expensive - - What?? The pasta special is $8.95, with chicken. Made to order on the spot. Are you nuts? The pizza is no pricier than any other place I can think of and it is a brick oven. The staff is competent, attentive, and the place is spotless. This is my "go to"place when I need food bad fast cheap. Don't pass it up if you are in the 'hood.

actually pretty good but $$$
i do like their pizza, and the whole wheat is actually really excellent for a "healthier" alternative, but the price for a cheese whole wheat slice keeps me from frequenting this place. i know it's still inexpensive for a general meal, but it just bothers me paying a whole extra dollar for each slice. if it were less, i'd probably be there all the time.

Best Pizza Delivery in Bklyn Heights
Each time I travel to the Brooklyn area and stay in a local hotel near Monty's, I order a pizza for delivery and it has always been wonderful and fresh. The phone call is always quick and efficient. The delivery is usually very fast and arrives hot. The nice thing is that they always put plates, utencils, napkins and condiments in a bag each time, which makes eating it in a hotel room a lot easier. I have also ordered a couple of dinners for delivery and always have had success with those too! I recommend Monty's for a great pizza experience.

Much to expensive
The food is good (not excellent) but its expensive and there is no justification for it. I only order when im too exhausted to find something decently priced!
