Litte secret in the neighborhood
I have gone to this place for a few time and love it! However menu pages has this listed as the Monterone, and I have always know it to be called the Grotto. So wh your looking for it on the street, find the sign that say the grotto. The food is excelent, and make sure to get a special drink made by Brain the bartender, they are amazing!

My new favorite place!
I've lived in the LES for many years and never knew that Monterone existed. Its been there for four years. We found it the other night and it was just fantastic! The waitress was lovely. The atmosphere rustic and cool. And the food was excellent. Be sure to get the antipasta plate - fresh roasted vegetables, five cheeses, dried meats, olives - but only with four people cause its huge! Also, I hear that the outdoor space is spectacular...we will be back for that.

Pivate and cosy. Well kept secret hidden in china town / little italy. Great Tuscan food.
