    Pleasantly Surprised!

Prix fixe dinner had a wonderful, well prepared selection. The appetizer mussels were ample and delicious as was the pate'. The Tiramasu and Creme Brulle were some of the best we have ever had. This is a "must return" dining experience for quality and price.

    Well prepared and presented food!

The price fix menu was a very pleasant surprise. Selection was good, appitizers exceptional (pate', mussels), entrees well prepared and delicious. Finally, we could order anything off the dessert menu. The tiramisu and creme brulee was the best we tasted in a LONG time! We're looking forward to our next visit.

    Great pre-theatre spot.

We have eaten at Mont Blanc in their old and new location. The staff is very friendly. The food is always delicious and the atmosphere cozy. Great value on their Pre-fixe meal. Love the Tilapia and the pork chop. Great desserts.

good food, can't wait to return

Went with another couple this past weekend. The food was great: pork chops, beef stroganoff w/noodles, the fish fondue. It came with the shredded potato pancake (sort of a potato pancake), all were very good & string beans. Apps: calamari & baked clams - both were excellent. All entrees served with a side salad, which was a nice touch for a nyc restaurant. All 4 of us shared the chocolate fondue for 2 for dessert, came with great stuff (fruit, pound cake, marshmallows) & it was enough for all of us, however the chocolate was a little too runny for my taste. We will definitely be going back.

    Excellent value/quality, huge portions!

Went with a friend recently for a pre-theater dinner. What unbelievable value and great menu [select]ion plus there were a number of specials. The portions were huge, everything was very tasty. Our favorite was the homemade potato pancake...so light and flavorful. We both had a homemade apple tart for dessert that came with a scoop of ice cream, whip cream and strawberry. Desserts are also so reasonably priced as well as the coffee/tea. Although Mont Blanc is not considered fine cuisine, the food is always delicious (I've frequented the restaurant before) and there are lots of good choices. In the past I had wonderful pork chops and veal dumplings here.

    very disappointing

After reading the already posted reviews my family and I looked forward to a wonderful dining experience. Alas, the shrimp was awful (my son went to the men's room to spit it out.) The veal cordon bleu was dry and chewy (one bite was too much!) The beans had far too much garlic and I am a garlic lover. My son's salmon was not great but edible. The only decent meal was my husband's. His steak was good, although he has had better and again although he enjoyed his escargot he has had better. The young lady who served us was respectful of our early theater deadline and did her best to service us quickly. She was the only true positive of the entire evening.

The reason we returned to New York

Our first trip to New York was in October,we had the good fortune to wander into Mt.Blanc. Maria (owner) made us feel comfortable upon entering. The fruit-infused martinis are excellent. The food was very good and also a great value. Maria along with her staff, offered us numerous tips on what to do and see during our stay. We returned to NYC in December, and couldn't wait to go there again.
