Their Spider roll (soft shell crab) is not good. It was soft shell crab, cucumber, sticky rice, seaweed, and avocado. It was very bland, but they did include a soy sauce with some herbs. It was better with the sauce. All in all the venue is nice, the service is good, but the Spider roll was not appetizing. I can not vouch for the other items on the menu though.

I continue to be amazed that a little chain sushi joint can continue to amaze me with the quality of their sushi. Granted, the originality can lack sometimes - you get the same special rolls as everywhere else - except I suppose for the Monster Roll. BUT everything is so fresh that I swear I saw that tuna just swim by the window. The proportion of rice to fish in a roll or sashimi is perfect and presentation is beautiful. It's also one of those rare places in the West Village where you have room to push your chair back and relax, without ending up in someone's lap.

The signature roll is the Monster Roll, aka the Asparagus Roll. With an overpowering asparagus taste, you might as well save your money and just order the asparagus roll from the veggie section of the menu. Service was slow. On the plus side, excellent Sapporo and Sake

The food here is great, the only real problems are that the service is poor half of the time. A majority of times, we'll be waiting forever for our drinks to come or they'll forget about them or one of our dishes. One time we went in when it was completely empty and they seat us at a bad table so we asked if we can move to another table and they refused. We've also ordered out in the past with orders totalling over $200 and they seem to skimp on the take out orders. The portions are noticeably smaller, the sushi is tiny, and they cut you off in the sushi count and try to hide it with all the freebie miso soups w/ tofu that they stuff into the bag.

I, who usually adore Japanese food, went here with a group from work and had a few rolls and a piece of a la carte sushi. What can I say? I didn't expect much from the mass production setting, but even so, I was unimpressed. While most of what I had was edible, if not exciting, the unagi sushi was not good. Unfortunately, I don't know of an alternative in these parts.

Not the freshest fish but probably the freshest that delivers. Generous portions and usually lightning-fast delivery, sometimes inside of 10 minutes!

Great casual sushi place, certainly no place for a first date.
