Disappointing food, poor value
I've been here a few times for sushi and each time has been worse than the next. The food is overpriced and not particularly tasty. The tempura rolls were ridiculously greasy, the spicy tuna was too mayo-heavy and the edamame was soggy. I probably paid 20% more than I would have anywhere else for a sub-par meal. Overall, a truly disappointing experience. Other reviewers were right.

Not a fan
This place does to sushi what Godzilla did to downtown Tokyo. The sushi rice was pasty and over seasoned. The fish was fishy. The salad was just plain crap and the dressing was obviously from a bottle. The decor made me think they hired someone from the Long John Silver design team. There were several large screen TV playing "2 1/2 men" ( which seemed fitting). I would definitely recommend this place to someone I'm not very fond of.

subpar all around
I have been to Monster Sushi several times over the years (I live near the 23rd St. location) and have always found the food unappealing and the atmosphere below average. My friend insisted that we go there last night, because I hadn't tried it since they re-opened, and she was sure that I would be impressed. NOT SO. The atmosphere was like I had stepped into some low rent suburb's version of a Sushi restaurant. Two big screen tv's playing "Everyone Loves Raymond" the table was furnished with actual office chairs, and the run-down crew at the next table were playing cards. The food was also sub-par. I felt like everything was pre-made, and the ingredients were not fresh. The salad had bottled dressing, (the really cheap kind where I could taste the preservatives). The prices were kind of high too. Not really sure what there is to like about this place, especially when there are places like Choshi around, where everything is always fresh and made to order.

Delivery Guys!
OMG- I had the same experience with the delivery guy- he basically demanded more money! I was mortified, into never ordering any delivery ever again! I'm relieved to hear it wasn't just me. Sushi was good, but I'm picking it up from now on. No more making a killing off of me!

Overpriced Food and Delivery Issues
The food is overpriced, especially considering its mediocre quality. The delivery guys are never satisfied with their tips, no matter how much you give them. They count and recount the money in front of you until you're forced to slam the door in their faces. Nevertheless, this place is the least worst of my other options for sushi delivery.

Monster Prices
this place is priced in the mid range for sushi restaurants but offer low quality fish with larger portions then you would expect of this type of quality fish. Less is more. If are looking for a quality product at this price try somewhere else. Amber is like same price but you cant even compare the quality of food.

Too pricey!
Monster sushi is getting too pricey for its own good. They're not a 5 star restaurant but are charging 5 star restaurant prices. The 23rd St. location menu is outdated as well. They raised all the prices a while ago.
