Not a bad spot for sushi on the seedy strip of 46th. I agree with several of the reviews that it can be a little pricey (particularly for lunch), but if you need a midtown spot for something quick and decent after work you can't go too far wrong with the Monster. The specialty rolls are large and well presented, and three of them will feed two fat blokes. No visit is complete without a 'Spicy Girl' roll, which is a spicy tuna and shrimp tempura combo. Enjoy.

I went here for lunch one day. It seemed crowded with my neighborhood suits and ties for lunch. I sat at the sushi bar and promptly ordered the sushi deluxe. It was supposed to be an assortment of sushi. It came shortly after my order. The first thing I noticed was that they repeated some of the fish. Not just one but a few. My assortment wasn't so much of an assortment anymore. When I tasted the sushi, the fish was too warm. Sushi is supposed to be cold. This makes me think about the freshness of their fish. I did end up finishing my meal. But with the prices and quality, I think I'll try some other place.

Total ripoff. For just tofu and vegs (and tiny salad) - not even fish - and at lunchtime - they NOW are charging on the latest menu $12.25 - the total with tax 13.28. For LESS than this price I can go at lunchtime in the neighborhood to great japanese places and get a large quality bento box of SALMON + Full sushi roll (like eel avocado) + 3 piece shumai + vegs + salad + soup + fruit Dont they get it that tofu and vegs are not meat - these are cheap items priced like fish at their place? The dish is good, but at this price - its totally overpriced in the neighborhood.

I've only had the sushi rolls here, but they are rather delicious. Service is pretty quick. The prices may seem quite expensive, but remember, this is a sushi restaurant in Manhattan. I recommend the Godzilla roll for anyone who likes spicy tuna. A word of advice: if you're not skilled with chopsticks, you'll fumble with the Dinosaur roll. The pieces are huge and can fall apart when you pick them up.

This place is just okay, there is nothing really special about it other than that it's clean and the food goes down well. Wouldn't really recommend it for take out, too expensive for that, but if you wanted a reasonable place to sit around in midtown this will do the trick.

Their sushi is fresh and comes in very large pieces. However, it is a bit pricey.

After a chewy piece of Toro, overly greasy Tempura (driping, not light in texture), and a mess of a Scallop Surprise roll, I have to say I'm disappointed, especially for the prices this place charges. Save your money...go elsewhere.
