I love monetti's cheese pie! For some reason it just tastes soooo delicious! The crust is fluffy and crispy at the same time and the sauce and cheese are just right. I have tried their other pizza slices (veggie, pepperoni, etc.) and they are ok but the cheese slice is just amazingly good.

First visit was last night, popping in for a slice before theatre. I wasn't expecting much - just hungry. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how good the crust was - even though it wasn't thin, it was quite light and crisp. I had a white slice with spinach and maybe mozzarella? Whatever the cheese, it was VERY creamy. I'll return. If I still lived in the neighborhood, I'd be calling Monettis for delivery.

Ordered a hot slice it came out lukewarm. Asked for a CUP of water, told no water. Went to the table with my slice and there were no napkins. When I grabbed a stack from the counter and placed them on the table the owner pitched a fit, threatening me physcially, even though he's 20 years younger and 60 pounds heavier. Port Authority policeman came to my aid. The owner is a nut. Pizza, by the way is mediocre. Go here at your own risk. It's not worth it.

My review for Monetti's is based relative to other pizzerias in Hell's Kitchen. When I first moved to HK, I tried A LOT of take out pizza joints in an effort to find my "go-to" pizza spot. Monetti's actually has a small area around the counter with tables and chairs, so you can sit and eat if you like. The slices are a really good size (esp. nowadays where NY pizzas seem to be getting smaller and smaller?) and the prices are just as great. They also have many different toppings on their pizzas, which I like because some of them are really unique to this place, like pasta or meatball sauce and a few others I have never seen at the other joints in HK. And they don't use [%]$# canned mushrooms! The slices are thin and crusty, my favourite kind. They also have other foods I guess a pizza joint would have, but I have never tried them. I also like the fact that I don't feel squeezed in there while waiting. Service is fast and the guys all seem really respectful, not that I ever figured that would be noteworthy in adding to a review, but after having explored HK's pizza-dom, it was noticeable.
