Amazing
I live in Chelsea and am the biggest fan of Momoya. I've been to the "top" restaurants in the city, and Momoya definitely holds its own. The food is always fresh and fantastic - I've never had a bad meal. Friends are happy to travel from around the city to meet me here for dinner. In particular, the Chirashi and special rolls are exceptional. Note: as great as the food is, the service is extremely slow, and they don't take reservations. Be prepared to wait 30+ minutes for a table on a busy night and then 30ish minutes for your food.

Lucky me
Luckily I live in Chelsea and can take advantage of eating here often. I have never been disappointed. I try to order different menu items, himachi being my favorite, but always come away totally satisfied no matter what we order. Almost don't want others to discover this spot. It's too good

Don't walk! Run to Momoya!
This gem has been sitting in our neighborhood for Yeats, and it took us all this time to find THE BEST sushi rolls we have ever had in NYC. No wonder it was packed! It's popularity is well deserved. The lobster spring rolls and the dumplings were fabulous! The eel avocado sushi was mouth watering and the eggplant appetizer melted in my mouth. Certainly not inexpensive, but worth every dollar.

Totally Awesome
The sushi is incredible.. The crispy rice roll i dream about it. Everything is soo fresh, so good! I will defintely keep coming back.

Rushed
I was disappointed when my husband and I came into restaurant at 2:45 PM for a romantic afternoon away from our 1 year old and work. While the staff said it was no problem to order even though the place was closing at 3:00 PM, we were rushed thru our entire meal and treated with poor service. My wife has a food allergy and when they messed up her order, they barely apologized as well. I hope the staff was just having a bad day!

Awesome!
Seriously, the food here is awesome. So many sushi places in the city that are just average, but not Momoya. Soft shell crab appetizer is really delicious- perfectly balanced with cherry tomatoes and arugula. Yellowtail ceviche was very fresh, and the two rolls I shared were both winners. Only negative would be that there isn't a full bar, only sake, wine and beer, but the selections are good and priced fairly. Nice service, too. Can't wait to return.

Amazing salad
just ate at momoya, have walked by it many times but never went in. the food was amazing! the house garden salad was great the dressing was perfect ! the spicy tuna melts in your mouth! service was amazing! filled my water many times without having to ask ! im sad i didn't try this sooner!
