We ordered the New Year's special prix fixe menu. This included a selection of chilled small dishes, rice ball in miso soup, sashimi, and choice of sukiyaki or shabu shabu, and dessert (green tea ice cream) for $70. The quality of the food was excellent overall. Not a tremendous value though. Next time I think I will do a la carte. We really enjoyed the rice ball and the shabu shabu. The service seemed somewhat confused at times, but always very gracious and apologetic. The restaurant's phone kept ringing during service which marred what was otherwise a very pleasant atmosphere. Seating was somewhat crowded. The kitchen is downstairs and the seating is upstairs. Servers and patrons are using the same set of stairs so watch out for hot pots coming through! I hope they can work out some of their kinks as I think it has great potential. Will try again.

This place is THE highlight of Murray Hill. Honestly the most authentic Japanese restaurant within 30 blocks. Truly delicious and enjoyable experience. The food was fresh, the service wonderful and the experience was really fun.

A true hidden gem. Very authentic Japanese, fresh and delicious. This place was sorely needed in the neighborhood. It's also quite reasonable given the quality of the food. We can't wait to go back.

everything that came out of that kitchen tasted great! the menu was creative and interesting while at the same time not over priced or pretentious. black cod was delicious as were all the other 6 appetizers we ordered. loved the shabu-shabu. Really nice wait staff. will definately go back!
