    mmmmmmm....momofuku

The below individuals are so critical. I freakin love this place and go as often as I can....I've tried almost everything on the menu and can't get enough....Try it! And, yes, the pork buns are to die for....I get them everytime!

    i agree with someone (below)

I also consider myself a huge fan of ramen. but I totally agree with the person below me. momofuku is a type of trendy place for people who don't know and understand true quality of good food, and in this case, good ramen. I agree the pork buns are good, but it's not very original. The ingredients are just an offshoot of those in chinese peking duck and replaced with pork. This place never failed to disappoint me.

Average noodles, steamed buns are ok

So I tried Momofuku after a co-worker recommended it to me. She knew I loved ramen and said that I would like this place. She couldn't have been more wrong. If you have had authentic ramen then stay away from Momofuku. You will be disappointed. Although this is a very popular place it is only popular with white people. I'm not trying to be mean but there are much better ramen places in the city if you want a bowl of noodles. I can't say anyhing good about the ramen I had at Momofuku. The only positive thing was the steamed buns with pork. But again you can get better. I'm not trying to be a snob about ramen but it is one of my favorite things to eat. I've tried most of the ramen in NY and Momofuku would be last in terms of quality and flavor. The high prices don't help either.

    insensible meal

Momofuku might not be the most authentic noodle shop out there, but that's not the main reason one should not patronize. From my experience, the broth tends to be over-flavored with soy sauce, and the noodles lack that good firm, yet chewy, quality. The seasoning for the broths could probably be adjusted so it has a heartier taste. I haven't tasted the pork buns that everyone raves about, but just based on the quality of the noodle soups, I'd say Momofuku is over-priced.

Fatty pork...so bad but so good.

I've definitely had the most fattening meal in awhile at this cute little place. I dived into the dish containing noodles, berkshire pork, a poached egg, and broth for dipping. It was truly delightful, and though the pork was swimming with fat, it literally melted in my mouth, and paired well with the crunchy scallions and hearty noodles. I may indeed return for another bite.

    Not such a great value

I agree with a previous reviewer that everything tasted like pork. The noodles to which everyone raves about was sorely disappointing. I enjoy have a certain "chewiness" to my noodles and the noodles I had here were like soggy bread. But service was friendly, fast and couldn't have been any better. 4 bowls of noodles, 2 appetizers for 90$? I think I'll be sticking to chinatown instead.

    Always tasty

Even with all the effort that has been invested in Momofuku Ssam Bar the past few months, little Momofuku Noodle Bar has not been neglected. Some delicious new items have popped onto the menu: braised beef short ribs; escarole with pork sausage and rice cakes; beef brisket ramen; duck leg ramen and my new favorites: braised pork belly; a beautiful new root vegetable dish in the most amazing ham broth I've ever tasted; some wonderful new fish dishes including a kampachi on top of a lemon cream garnished with fried flower petals, parsley and lemon salt (I think about this dish a lot); an incredible hamachi with blood orange and olive oil. While working hard to keep the menu new and exciting, the extremely competent, consistent and friendly kitchen crew turn out these "little lovelies" with speed and a caring attention to detail. The wait staff at Momofuku Noodle Bar is wonderful: On a recent noodle bar visit, I left behind the book I was reading. I returned a week later in need of more hamachi and the second I walked through the door, two different servers came over to let me know that they had my book. I thought I lost my book on the bus so it would not have occurred to me to even ask if they had seen my book and it was so nice that they remembered me and remembered that I left my book the last time I was there!!! The servers are always friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about the menu items. Between the delicious food and the casual, friendly hospitality, this is a fabulous place!
