    Crowded

Not sure why but it was packed when we went in for a snack. It is a bit pricey but you're really paying to say you went there or show someone that you know about it. Get the crisp!

    not great

I enjoy the compost and cornflake/marshmallow cookies, but not much else. Most items taste alike and are far richer than I'd prefer. If you're going to sell pies for $50, they'd better be perfect - these aren't. The beverage selection is inadequate, as well. I enjoy desserts with coffee, but all they offer is cold coffee in a (small) can, for the absurd price of $3.50. And the "milks," which are $4 per cup, are a rip-off. All that + poor service = not living up to the hype. I enjoy the other Momofuku restaurants, but this one is a miss. I appreciate the creativity of some of the recipes, but for the most part they don't work. I like the idea of a dessert bar, and I hope this place comes around, but it's a disappointment as is.

    two major problems

I have been to Momo Milk Bark probably 6 times and see a couple huge issues. Problem 1: the service is so terrible that it makes me regret actually patronizing this place. They make you take a number even if only one person is ordering, and then they won't serve you until that person orders, even if that person vascillates for 5 minutes. Then when you finally order, they don't give you your order immediately. I have waited up to 5 minuted for them to slice a pie or hand me a cookie. Totally unacceptable. Problem 2: much of the food is way way way too salty. My first few times at Milk Bar, I thought everything was good. Then I realized everything tasted sort of the same. Then I realized why everything tastes alikeway too much salt. I ordinarily enjoy tasting that little pinch of salt in my desserts, but many items here go way over the line. Subtlety is lost on whoever came up with the recipes. The cereal milk, for instance, is almost undrinkable. It tastes like "real" cereal milk, which would be fine and quirky, except the flavors are overwhelmed by a nasty saltiness that just makes you want a glass of water. The candy bar pie is similarly too salty, as is (unsurprisingly) the salty pistachio ice cream.

    it's a treat...

If you don't go at peak time there's no line, and the servers were willing to let us sample the different soft serve flavors. It's an indulgence, so we expected to pay a lot, but we weren't disappointed. The snickerdoodle, salty pistachio caramel, and peanut butter halvah are all great. Next time = crack pie.

    Crowded & Expensive

It was cramped and while some of us loved our desserts, the price per item is very high and you can get similar desserts at many places these days, including trucks. The strawberry milk was essentially Quick. This is a bit of a gimmick because there is limited dessert in the main place next door.

    OK

Stopped in today just to check it out. Quite a seen already. Once you stand in line forever to get food there is really no place to stand and eat it with out getting bumped constantly. All in all a great idea with decent food. Slightly over priced but so are all momofukos.
