Not recommended
Went this past sunday nite for friend's birthday & was extremely disappointed! The whole fish was bland & ridiculously expensive; the side of spinach was extra $$, small portion, not tasty. I had 2 apple martinis which tasted watered down & had no effect! When the bill came we went into cardiac arrest!

yum
Both my Boyfriend and I are relitivly new to greek food. Being italian we figured it was pretty close. We started out with appetizers. The spinikopita and greek spare ribs. Both were so great. The honey glaze on the ribs were outta this world. For my main plate, I ordered the makaronia. It was delicious! & so incredibly tastey. My boyfriend ordered the moussaka caserole. He finished the entire thing. The meat was so tender. As for drinks. I had the aegean martini. If you like fruity but not that overpowering sweetness this drink is for you. My boyfriend had a sierra nevada pale ale. We topped dinner off with a cappucino, espresso and baklava wich is filo dough, spiced honey & almond cookies. All in all ide say we will definitly be back.

Sub-par
Found this restaurant to be uninspiring with sub par service, small portions, and mediocre food. Calamari appetizer miniscule for $16. Entrees of monk fish and lamb chops both not worthy of the price. Unattentive and uncaring service classifies this location as a must pass. There are much better restaurants and at less offensive prices. It appears to cater to a tourist/theatre crowd that might be less discerning. Bland in every catagory.

great greek place
Although just maybe a tad pricey (but it's hard to find a good deal in the vicinity of Carnegie hall), the restaurant didn't disappoint -- fast and attentive service, yummy food (the appetizers and both entrees - softshell crabs and moussaka -- were really good! and dessert was very nice too), pleasant atmosphere. Will definitely come again for a pre-concert meal.

not worth the money
Granted the service was good though we went during the lunch to dinner changeover(we were one of the two parties dining that day) and ate at the Cafe, that gives no excuse for the quantity and guality of food presented. The Moussaka was why I came here for and ladies and gentlemen...if you think this is good moussaka....You've been bamboozled! I can make you one the greek gods will shine upon. And I'm not even Greek! Don"t believe me..go and drop your $20 and find out for yourself. Aren't we in a recession? Put that pretty 20 back in your pocket and skip this place.

Very nice service!
We strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone willing to have good food and fair-priced wines. My wife and I spent new year's eve dinner (2007/2008) and had a great time at a very fair price.
