    Great Tacos and Tamales

I recomend this restaurant to anyone who loves chips and salsa, tacos, and other mexican food. For 8 dollars I got 2 steak tacos-chips and salsa and a drink!!

    Good all around

Mole has great food, drinks and service. We went on a Tuesday, so it was busy but not over crowded and the bartender, Santiago, made sure our short wait was pleasurable. If you dont know what you want to drink, he will make one for you, strong and tasty--I recommend the rasberry mojitos. All the food we ate was delicious, fresh and came out in a timely manner. Anyone in the city who likes mexican should definitely try this place out.

    Tiny Mexican Gem!

Mole is very tiny inside, and you often have to wait for a table; however, it is worth the wait. Have a huge delicious mojito as you wait! The guacamole is some of the best. The only time the guac wasnt great was when we ordered it as part of the happy hour special-maybe it is pre-made in large amounts for happy hour? I love the chicken fajitas, and my bf always gets a steak dish. The food, service, and atmosphere make us coming back to Mole almost every week!

    surprisingly amazing.

came here after the wait for barrio chino was three hours and still really wanted mexican food -- and i was pleasantly surprised. GREAT, fresh pineapple margaritas, some of the best guacamole i've had in new york (not just some avocado and onion mashed together), and a really good shrimp/tomato/jalapeno main course. the shrimp may have been a bit expensive, but there was a LOT of food and it was pretty delicious. i'll definitely be back!

    Ole! I love Mole!

I probably shouldn't post this, since it will only make the place more crowded. But this place is awesome! It's pretty tough to get a table, so my 2 friends and I sat at the bar. What a great time! The owner/bartender is a friendly, cuddly teddy bear who will make you the best margarita ever. It is so hard to get good Mexican in New York (why?!?), but the food here is excellent. The bartender suggested octopus ceviche and damn, was it good. And I don't even like octopus... or ceviche! As for the reviewer with the reservation for 8, s/he's obviously not from NYC. Complaining about a 45 minute wait for a table for 8 in a tiny popular restaurant? And demanding free drinks to make up for it? Are you serious?

    so good!

love this place! a friend had read good reviews but i was hesitant when i saw the outside. however, met her at the (very small) bar, was welcomed by a very friendly bartender who announced the maragarita flavors of the day. i tried ginger and proceeded to have 2 more throughout my meal! we waited about 15 min. for a table on a sat. night but we didn't mind b/c: a) the host was very polite and kept checking in with us to let us a know the status of our wait and b)we were enjoying the guac which was made by our bar side. for dinner, we ordered the grilled corn app, carne asada tacos (deliciously marinated, yummy rice/beans, only thing is they don't double up on the tortilla so it ripped quickly), beef burrito and maduros (very sweet, could be softer). so amazing! you get a LOT for your $. definitely a cute spot for a casual date or dinner w/ friends. forget the high prices of dos caminos and los dados - totally overated and way less flavor than mole!

    AWFUL EXPERIENCE, do not recommend

I called on Tuesday to make reservations for Saturday for 8 people. They took my reservation and said it would be no problem at all. WRONG. We all arrived there on time and there was not one open table in the entire place! They told us it would only be a few minutes so we waited at the crammed bar (the restaurant and bar can maybe sit 25 people comfortably, so you can imagine what it was like for 8 people to stand around). 45 minutes later we were still not seated. If you can't seat 8 people on time, then don't take our reservations!!! We asked to be compensated with free drinks and free guacamole to which the bartender (apparently also the owner) very reluctantly agreed. We ended up sitting about an hour after our reservations only because they asked a couple in the middle of their meal to go to the bar. Our guacamole arrived after repeatedly asking for it. We were served by an obnoxious waiter who spoke to us in an extremely condescending tone and almost refused to prepare our food the way we wanted. Oh, and remember that free guacamole?? Not so much, they charged us for it and refused to make it complimentary!!! I'm not one to write reviews but you need to know what you're in for when you go to this place.
