    Very good Mexican food but bring an appetite

    Had many diners and takeouts from this place. Consistently good food, fresh and tasty combined with friendly service makes Mole a part of our dining scene. Portions are huge so make sure you share some if the entrees, including the fajita taco salad, there is enough for 2 easily. Terrace is a bonus.

    so much extra to eat in

    I dont get how vastly different tbe prices are to eat in the restaurant. Dont they know youre going to spend more sitting there having drinks etc? I dont get the justification.

    Great addition to the 'hood.

    not sure why all of the reviews are negative...i had one bad experience ordering from them when they were still taco taco. since they're mole, my food comes quickly and is nice and hot. the dining room isn't huge, but it's certainly bigger than taco taco. the portions are huge - two people can easily share the chicken fajitas and i've never had an issue with the service.

    Chicken Quesadilla minus the chicken

    Will never order again from this place! Ordered a chicken quesadilla and they left out the chicken! When I called to complain they told me that they always read back the orders to avoid mistakes, they did do that, but she said Chicken! The lady then told me she'd send me a side of chicken that I'd have to pay for to put on my quesadilla...kinda defeats the purpose of ordering a chicken quesadilla.

    Poor Service & Too Small

    The food here is excellent, sangria to die for and the atmosphere is nice. A little loud for my taste, but not terrible. Prices are a bit much, but you do get a lot of food for the price. Service was very poor. Mixed up our orders 3 times, kept trying to take away food we were still eating and in general, most of the staff seemed too hustled/busy. Either the owner or the manager was trying to save money by him being the host, but he was never where he should be and running around. Tables were way, way too tight. I get NYC real estate and trying to make every inch count, but it was ridiculous because the waiters couldn't even get to our tables to poor water. And just a hint for the owner/manager, it may be wise to get a sidewalk partition a bit higher because I saw not one, not two, but three water/wine glasses break onto the sidewalk where people were walking. I really do like this place, and will give a second chance in a few months until they get their stuff together. However, I do hope the service improves.

    I miss Taco Taco ..

    Honestly, I love the food. But the service is poor. For a while I thought the postings here were whiny and well, not representative of what happens. Well....no. Once it switched over from TT to Mole, I put up with the long pauses where I was put on hold (5+ minutes...I was patient for new staff). And then I ordered again. I was put on hold, dropped, called back, got and order. The next time, I called, got put on hold, dropped and called back and got my order. And then again..ditto. Then, I ordered. Got dropped. Called back, placed my order and...nothing. I want my food, I want my food. An hour later, I call to complain and they say, "I don't see it in the computer. " That's it. They don't apologize or offer to take my order again, it's just "too bad."

    Good enough for a second chance

    Ordered some takeout from the bar. The bartender told me it would take 10 minutes. I sat at the bar and waited for my food. The glass was not washed properly. I waited 35 minutes for my food (the bartender almost gave me someone else's food and did nothing to check up on my order.) The bartender never asked me if I wanted another soda (or, God forbid, a free one.) Eventually, I asked him to check up and one of the managers (?) went back to the kitchen and got the food. How long was it sitting there? Who knows? Annoying. As for the food, the guacamole was odd. It was chunky - almost like it was diced. I never had guacamole with that texture before. I also had the chicken enchiladas with mole sauce and I must say, it was pretty good. Everything tasted fresh and "real" - like someone made it - not like anything came from a can. Based on this, I'm willing to give Mole another try. The food seemed worth it. But boy, if the service doesn't improve, my next time will be my last.
