    My Regular Place

I've been coming here pretty much every Friday night with my friends for the last 2 years. The atmosphere is amazing, particularly on the back patio. Inside it can be kind of dark. The music can get loud but they'll turn it down if you ask nicely. The food is really good (except the salads) and somewhat more sophisticated than you might expect - particularly the ceviche and tamales. The staff is really nice and very fun (one night I salsa danced with them when the band was playing)... they always shake my hand and chat when I come in and they're very attentive. It's family-owned so there are only a few people working there, and it can get INSANELY busy, and yeah you might have to be patient. The other thing that bothers me is that they aren't clear about what drinks are on the happy hour menu. Mojito pitchers, for example, are not, certain kinds of margaritas... it's really weird. Make sure you ask. Basically though this place is my favorite in all of NYC, and as long as it's open you'll find me there on Friday.

    hysterical service

They renovated this place, and it looks MUCH better. That being said, the service the day I went was HYSTERICAL. There were only 4 people in the entire restaurant eating- they messed up the other 2 people's order, and still insisted on charging them "You can take it home!" My friend and I waited forever for drinks, then the bartender came back and asked us to repeat our orders (this is again with us as the only people ordering- no take out orders or anything). When we went to pay, there was no pen. Everything went wrong. I don't like the usual entrees here- stick with a chicken and rice, and you'll be fine. Bring a snifter, so you can get alcohol.

    Great Find!

For Mexican, it seemed pricey but I was surprised by actual entree options versus the standard burrito/quesadilla/taco fare. Atmosphere was great for dinner, and we actually ate outdoors in the back (cute lanterns and decorations). Free chips & salsa are always a plus! Be warned though: this place has LOUD music as the night gets late. If you're up for a dance floor and some club jams, though, this is a great place for it.

    Unpredictable

We order delivery from this restaurant often. The food is very good and is a good value. However, there have been multiple instances where we ordered food and waited an hour and nobody showed up - apparently, they did not have a delivery person, and never even bothered to call us - while we're sitting here eating our fingers! We do hope that they improve upon this aspect of their service, since we want to order from them in the future.

    Just Drinks!

I was very excited to eat here and the Mojitos did not dissapoint. The bartender was wonderful, but the waitress left much to be desired! The food was also a let down, stick to the drinks and appetizers (ceviche to die for...) everything else, don't expect too much and you won't be dissapointed.

    Don't overlook Mojitos

I live in East Harlem and stumbled upon this great find in July 2007. The mojitos are AMAZING, and so is the food. You can't beat the prices...especially for Happy Hour. However, the service is often quite terrible. Despite being such a small venue, with rarely more than a couple more tables than yourself, the wait for drinks (especially) is often interminable. Nonetheless, anytime I have an out-of-town visitor, Mojitos is the first stop on our list!

The food was good and the lunch special is healthy for only 5 dollars........would reccommend to anyone!
