How did I miss a MOES in NYC!!

I have been eating at various Moe's around the country for the past 5 years and LOVE IT! This one was no exception. The food is awesome, service is great, and price although I think more than the midwest cousins is fair for the amount of food. The quality and taste far surpass the rivals not to mention they give you chips and unlimited drink refills which just doesnt happen at the other guys. Somehow It took me what looks like a year of this place being open to realize it was here. Guess I dont need to travel to Jersey anymore for Moes!

    Great customer service and food

Ok-- This is my first review ever on Menupages. I use Moe's for catering and delivery. B-the catering manager is one of the best I've ever dealt with. Poor customer service is a pet peeve of mine...I loose sleep over poor customer service. I feel as though I only get awesome customer service at fine restaurants...customer service in NYC has decreased tremendously, esp. in the recent years. So I really want to commend MOE'S and "B" for his professionalism and his willingness to please his customers. He is truly commited to enhancing the level of satifaction..I love the food there, my guests loved the food. I had a guy deliver food in the pouring rain, he showed up with a smile. I argued with "B" about a bill and he was so pleasant during my "argument" and at the end, it was my fault. I am a true customer- I didn't write this review as an "anonymous" and I hope people go try this food. And I love the way they greet you when you walk in...it's cheesy, but makes me laugh! Thanks, guys. Keep up the great work.

My delivery experience was a disaster

Just the facts: Restaurant is situated across the street from my apartment building. Due to bad weather and presence of small children I ordered in. More than an hour later my food arrived cold and congealed. Spoke with restaurant which agreed to replace the food. New hot food arrived half an hour later. Half of the order was wrong. Restaurant agreed to reimburse me for the half of the order that was wrong. In the meantime, I made my own quesadillas in the microwave with tortillas I had in the fridge. My opinion: This was not a satisfactory ordering-in experience and I will probably not order from there again. Also, I agree with the poster who noted the guacamole didn't taste fresh and I thought the chips were too greasy. However, everyone was very nice and I do know of some people who enjoy going to the restaurant.

    Not Going Back

I ate at this location just shortly after they opened. The food is cheap but it's also pretty poor. The quality and the taste are nothing to speak of. I would just stay away if I were you. My experience was pretty rotten, and I don't think most New Yorkers will like this place. It's just a suburban chain that's trying to keep up with places like Chipotle, but as a franchise, it's pretty low quality. The atmosphere is fine and the people were fine, but I'd say the low point is really the food.

Mystery Meat y Nachos sin Queso

I'll boil this down to the essential details: Food came cold and late. Nachos were wet and cold chips without cheese, yeah, they forgot the cheese. Steak fajitas had this glob of fatty mystery meat smothered in spices. They also forgot the tortillas. Called to complain, some angry woman told me they were very busy and acted as if I should be blessed to get whatever they send whenever it arrives. Then her manager told me he'd give me a coupon for a free burrito if I walked over. Yeah, that's why I order food in, so I can throw away what I ordered, lose my appetite and walk over to the restaurant to get a coupon worth less than I just spent. Maybe this was a fluke. Sure thing: I aint ordering anything else from Moe's.

    Free Chips/Salsa, selfserve soda refills

Im not sure what the Floridian was talking about, but the 5 times I've been there the soda machine was self serve and no restrictions on refills. Not to mention fresh made tea. When comparing the burrito chains in New York, I rank Moes #1. It has atmosphere and is a fun place to eat. The food is really good and the price is marginally cheaper (but the free chips and salsa and refillable fountain drinks makes it a significantly better deal than their rivals). Their salsa selection is good and you can get as much as you want whenever you want as the free salsa bar is next to the soda machine. I can't wait until they expand to more locations. They have me hooked. My wife loves the place too.

    Welcome to Moe's

So it was about time for a Moe's in Manhattan. I'd been wondering when it would happen especially considering all the Chipotles and Qdobas in town. The only thing is, it's kind of hidden. Located on 1st ave between 21st and 22nd, fellow burrito lovers will have to seek this little gem out. The atmosphere here is key. The music by artists like Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin has always been a selling point for me (as I mentioned, I'm a Moe's lover from way back). The service here is amazing, the staff is super friendly and helpful, especially if you're a first timer, and you can even catch yourself having a conversation with the owners themselves. A very humbling and enjoyable experience all around. Also a major plus in my opinion is the free chips and salsa. Unlimited chips for free and a variety of salsas to choose from. Pretty choice indeed. :o) Positive experience all around, highly recommended.
